Mine aren't genuine Caterham 7 split rims,mine are Compomotives.I asked for the torque figure of the Caterham wheels so I didn't get a million hair splitting replies!!
They are a doddle to get apart, unless you count the amount of bolts as a possible recipe for RSI, but a battery impact driver makes light work, just be careful not to overtighten them with it.A dead blow hammer or the wooden shaft of a conventional hammer might be needed to coax the 3 sections apart.
I reused the rubber seals between the 3 parts, and had to silicone one as the seal was split when removed.This is now the standby wheel that lives in the garage.Cost of re-polishing was £40.Re-paint the centres was £60.£12 for 100 stainless caphead bolts, washers and nylocs, and job done.
