  1. I often use http://www.pdfonline.com/pdf-to-word-converter/ obviously not likely to work if PDF created from a scan, if it was a scan originaly you will need to OCR it something like http://www.onlineocr.net/ might help, haven't tried on PDF directly but claims to do it Tim
  2. Just to add to the data, My SBFS half hood never parted company, not sure what speed its been up to, well over 70, Always fit it loose with the roll behind windscreen frame, pop the press studs on and then tension the straps at rear.

  7. As it was not named after a Dog, spotted or not, it is thought the name was a form of hypocorism derived from the habit of the regulars getting the munchies and ordering the excellent Spotted Dick that the establisment was famous for, It was however also noted that the said establishment also operated as a house of ill repute, so it was unclear whether the regulars wanted pudding or had just noticed someones clothes askew, this often lead to ...............

  11. yep got manual, can get circumference, just hoping someone had done all the measurements and had the figures to bung into dash, save me a few minutes :-) Haven't read manual fully yet so not sure what is needed bar pulses and circumference, not sure how many pulses per rotation from wheel, will need to have a look undrneath next time I'm with the car. Tim
  12. In view of the 'Merican" disability allowance I would suggest, if huffing anyone is to be avoided, then Marble Arch would be best option due to its proximity to Grosvener Square where diplomatic immunity for Mericans may be played
  13. Has anyone calibrated a stack 8130 , normal triangular dash, for speed , with standard CR500 245/40 R 15. tyres fitted, if you have the pulse setting to input to the dash handy that would be really helpful, need to send dash back for a new battery and it would be good to be able to send them the speed data so they can input after battery change, cheers Tim
  14. don't think so, if they are using the traditional constantine deployment then that would result in, with Moretons convention in play, a forced Bakerloo redress.
  15. It's 4713 said a voice in the corner, catching the mice as they scurry across the floor, you just woken up, you want noodles or rice with these mice ?
  16. As Fletch stood in the corner picking his nose It became frighteningly obvious something very strange had happened in the sheds, surprised to see not a bogey, but a wet deck chair on the end of his finger , the horror suddenly dawned, he, Fletch, had assumed Brobdingnagian proportions , the look on his huge and distorted face said .........
  17. JK is this the sort of trickery you are talking about , TomPerkins guess at this point a Phone call to Racetech ( 01491 822000) will answer all questions, I suspect from tests done we can be confident that wiring is OK (although haven't done any voltage checks at gauge) and the Gauge is just not getting an input it is happy with. Tim
  18. Stuck steering wheel = fewer teeth , Ratched strap round roll cage is your friend , or never leave it on over the winter without a squirt of ACF 50 first Tim
  19. can you take the gauge out of cct and put you MM across the wires that attach to the gauge, then manually operate the float and see if the resistance ranges low to high, mine swings between 4 and 100 ohms ish, mine is top mounted pump and sender in one unit, similar to this , I think you have done this already but if you then check out each wire to earth that will have eliminated both Short and open CCTs. http://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/img/p/3445-3419-large.jpg
  20. My discovery is doing similar, if I find out whats causing it I will let you know, mine seems to loose about 2 litres in 400 miles, only when running though, same thought about pressure cap which I will replace anyway, but I will do a pressure test to see if any leaks becomes obvious and maybe chuck some flouro dye in to see if I can find a leak, no cream in oil, no obvious bubbling in expansion tank so its a mystery at the moment .
  21. ...... an old but powerful full body sander, at that moment Wile heard a floorboard creaking in the corner, when he turned up the old hissing hurricane lamp he saw a wizened, shadowy and indistinct form in the corner, after a tense and fear filled few seconds he realised it was Fletch who, judging by his ragged clothes and smell, had fallen on hard times, he began the traditional sheds welcome ceremony which began with ........
