  1. Yes the spring is off and the dampers were 2nd hand from a racer (that could be the issue) as it just wont move "even with a bit of BF&I" but not too much. Think I'll pop it back on and think about it. Thanks folks.
  2. Cant get to the circlip as its under the tube I assumed I could just slide the tube away from the circlip to remove circlip then slide the tube off - but the tube won't budge
  3. Numpty question.......... Does the circlip need removing BEFORE removing the threaded tube? I cant see any holes in the ends to compress it.
  4. I'm sure the treaded tube over the damper body, supported by a circlip should slide off and allow me to replace the circlip lower down the damper. BUT it doesn't want to move (grrrh!) copious amounts of 'WD40', Halford's 'Shock and Release', and 'Free It'. Dont want to use any heat or use too much force in case I damage the shocker body. Any ideas?
  5. I was spotted by Steve from Gloucester, both of us wearing Caterham shirts. As you said, good hotel, food and staff and we had great weather after Saturday morning.
  6. Thanks, revilla, most useful. Now entered in my little black book.
  7. So have I I'd forgotten about them. Thanks Colin.. ps. looking at your location do you know Martin & Jo Crisp? I'll say hi to them next week when I come down
  8. K series wide track. Can't find any search facility so.... Anybody know what car theyr'e from? CC don't seem to have them at the moment.
  9. Probably the same large group of UK plated 7's as spotted by our friends on a Dutch barge (the Lyneve) moored up at St Quentein on the canal?
  10. I had a car that pulled to the left and swapping the wheels over (left to right) made it pull to the right, 2 new tyres cured this. Try swapping the front wheels over (if directional tyres, AO21's etc. only worry at MOT time!) It's an easy test, so see if that makes a difference. rog
  11. My car has "Peugeot GRAPHITE grey" paint on the wings, I've used to match a chip in an anthracite wheel. Looks like it could be a Pug-leot derivation colour.

Looking at the Avon CR28 sport, their website "http://www.avonmotorsport.com/road-legal/performance/cr28-sport" suggests 30 psi They must be for something a bit heavier? You'd not aquaplane in standing water you'd bounce over it

  19. Oil pressure gauge same as here OK then! if I cant sell it how about a small donation to NTL + postage? Edited by - roger heeley on 22 Apr 2013 18:08:16
  20. Sound wet sump but drain hole has been re tapped off true (by an engineering company 🙆🏻). but a bit of gasket goo and a smidgen of ptfe kept the oil in and the garage floor clean. I have since sourced a new sump for piece of mind. This no doubt with the proper equipment could be repaired so it seals as per normal with bolt & washer. There are the usual scrapes under the leading edge. photos £30 + about £12 P&P - OR I can deliver to Silverstone on March 23rd morning when I'm delivering a set of wheels Edited by - roger heeley on 13 Mar 2013 16:40:03 Edited by - roger heeley on 13 Mar 2013 16:53:45 Edited by - roger heeley on 13 Mar 2013 18:19:53 Edited by - roger heeley on 13 Mar 2013 18:20:14
