  1. These pics appeared on a non-7 related FB car forum that I'm a member of. 14th St. NE in the District of Columbia. Looks like there may have been a bit of a mishap. Anyone know the story?
  2. Yellow SV with a black centre stripe (GN08) and green with yellow nosecone grille (S3? - FJ05). Spotted by the Kingston Upon Thames correspondent for the Arlington Classic Car Club whilst on holiday in Scotland
  3. By my cousin in the parking lot of his apartment.
  4. Spotted on our way home from the pizza joint / bar (Ken's NY Deli).
  5. Olivier has been in touch with me and, hopefully, we will soon have another Caterham in the Arlington Classic Car Club
  6. Great - I've sent you a message via this site with my FaceBook and email details.
  7. Sure, Anker. I'm just about to post something up on ChitChat in case there is any more interest out there. The Arlington Classic Car Club is actually just an in-joke name for a bunch of guys in and around the Arlington area who get together from time to time to go for a drive or to kick tyres. Our communication is primarily via a private FaceBook page, but I can keep you abreast of any plans via email if FB is off the cards for you.
  8. Anker - this one is in Arlington Heights in MA. It is currently on UK plates, but in the photo above the owner was just off to a garage to try to get it through a State inspection. He should be ok getting it titled as it is over 25-years old.
  9. A better spot. We now know that the driver / owner is named Olivier. The guy who spoke to him yesterday ascertained that the owner is not American, but we are yet to get any more details. Plans to press gang him into membership of the Arlington Classic Car Club (A group dedicated to going for a beer on Thursday nights in old cars...we have French cars....but no structure!!) continue.
  10. I was travelling down the M5 near Weston-super-Mare at about 11.00am on Sunday 29th Dec as you passed on the opposite side, northbound.
  11. Spotted by one of the guys in the Arlington Classic Car Club.
  12. I haven't had reason to go out to Minneapolis for some time, but if that changes I'll be sue to give you a shout. Likewise, if you are ever visiting Boston, let me know. One of my friends spent a fair bit of time earlier this year in the Brit Pub with the Aston Villa Supporters Club, who were following a presason tour in the area. This is a great resource for finding 7's for sale in the US. Mike scours a number of sites and updates this thread on a regular basis.
  13. This thread was brought to my attention by a friend. Not owning a 7 these days I only really look at ChitChat - you may get a better response for this particular topic posting over there as the likes of Mike, Tom and other USA 7 owners maybe don't venture out to the marketplace part of the site too often.
  14. Hi Kester I live in MA. I looked into importing a 7, but got put off by all of the hurdles that you have to jump. Have you looked into buying a 7 that is already in the country? Your best source of information is usa7s.net and Mike J., who posts as Croc on here. Your options would be much wider if you were happy taking a "sevenesque" car rather than specifically a Caterham. There are plenty of Birkins, Westies and the like up for sale. Theoretically, if my understanding is correct, you should be able to take a car that has been titled in another state and get it titled in MN more easily than going through the import process yourself. I know of people who have titled both older cars (25yr +) as well as modern Caterham's in different States. There are different approaches that you can take. If you go down the classic / reproduction route then I think you are limited to 3k miles and cannot use it as a daily driver. Not sure if that limitation exists if you are using a more modern 7. Do you use the Brit's pub in Minneapolis? I always pop in there when I am in town. Every time to date it has been the middle of winter so I didn't get to experience the bowling green.
  15. Bloxwich High St heading north at about 7.10pm red with double white stripes SV18 CAT? Soutbound on M6 around Sutton Coldfield about 8.10pm. Snot green with double black stripe
  16. I'm getting the same 'New Music' thread email notification sent to me - but only that one for some reason. Not sure if this has anything to do with the problem, but the post was edited by BBL - that was the point at which I started to get the notifications. Shaun doesn't elaborate as to whether the security patches relate to the OS, Drupal or the mail server. One of the problems with a big CMS application is that it is very difficult to fully test a site when there are so many modules and ways of configuring the system.
  17. Yes, seeing the same here. Also noticed that the list of categories in the BlatChat drop down is a subset of the full list (test and ideas, helping others are missing, for example). Maybe this is deliberate to keep the drop down limited to the most used categories? If you click on the word 'BlatChat' rather than selecting from the drop down, it does give you the full list.
  18. The breadcrumb trail appears to be broken. It is one level higher than it should be (i.e. shows the parent node). Also, if I directly hit the page https://www.lotus7.club/forum/chitchat it shows the very first thread that is available rather than the current latest page. It may be down to cookies - I'll investigate. Below - example of breadcrumb trail after I've clicked on the most recent thread in ChitChat. The breadcrumb trail used to say forum / forums (which has always been wrong in my mind (as an old hierarchical database programmer)). Really it should say forum / ChitChat but forum / <blank> prevents me from navigating back to the ChitChat page via the breadcrumb trail.
  19. Apologies for the delay in getting back to people. Drama at work plus my brother in law working away from home held things up. Anyhow, original post updated to reflect sales and for the 3 people who have purchased from me, I expect that you should now have received your stuff. I'm about to email you now with payment details. Open to offers on any of the other stuff...
  20. Hi Paul Dropped you a reply. Just need to coordinate with my outlaws to arrange collection....
  21. Foggy - sorry, all three headsets are taken. Garf (Neil) - still waiting on your address. Any other interest - may be open to offers
  22. HI again. Updates sent out to those who contacted me - wrightpayne, johnnyseven and Garf. I was also contacted by someone off this thread by BM only. When I replied his message disappeared from my inbox and my reply did not appear to go out. The guy signed his note as 'Ste'. He was asking for the lenses - but they have already been taken by johnnyseven. Foggy - awaiting confirmation from wrightpayne as to whether he wanted the two or three headsets - will keep you posted. BigCol - the Humax stuff plugs into a dish not an aeriel. They are ideal where you have had your fill of paying Fox / Murdoch loads of money every month (just unplug your Sky box and hook the coax cable up to the Humax) or if you have spare capacity on an LNB and want to have a tv in a bedroom.
  23. Hi folks - apologies for the radio silence over the last few days. Some work and some personal stuff cropped up and as a result this dropped by the wayside. I”m just at the airport about to fly back to the US. I”m in discussions with the family about getting stuff packaged up and posted out. Will reply to individuals who have expressed an interest in my stuff as soon as I get home.
