  9. Made from waterproof rip stop material in black, custom made to suit standard bodied Caterham with tillet ears and half doors. Little use over the last 2 years so as new and it is very good, would fit inside a can of coke but when deployed is waterproof so keeps the interior dry I have used with half doors (poppers over half doors not fitted) but its also useful when touring with screen and JJ half hood to keep the car dry overnight and deter folk from grabbing any bits and pieces you might leave in the footwells etc. No longer needed as I have a full tonneau which I use more as I aeroscreen, tour less and trailer more £50 uk posted (Which is alot less than it cost to have made)
  10. Thanks, yes it does - I guesss next time ill try a bit harder and continue to see how they last i brought them s/hand so it s not like they owe me much
  11. Sigma, under your definitions the tyres I was using were probably 'Wets' Clearly Im no expert or I wouldnt have posted in the first place
  12. Hi Guys, I was at Donnie yesterday on slicks until it pi$$ed down so I swapped to wet slicks (1st time I have used) The track drained quite quickly but never dried enough to swap back but was definately too dry for wet slicks. However, I kept doing say 5 laps and coming back in and the tyres were holding very well so I ran the rest of the evening on them. They didnt really get hot and I had ALOT more grip in the damp than I would of had on my R888s or full slicks. Was them 'holding up' due to me not driving at race speeds or perhaps or because I came in after every 5 laps to check? Only I was under the impression that even a few dry laps on a wet slick will trash it
  13. Also got a complete used set available
  14. Aero minus wipers is fine I always MOT mine this way as my screen has a big score mark from the wipers so wouldnt pass an MOT

    oil filler cap

Do you mean Oil filler cap on the engine or filler cap on dry sump tower?
  16. Dave, If still available, how about £50 delivered? Sandy
  17. Sorry, My description above was referring to the silicone bead between the inner and outer rims (tyre off) I can see this has been damaged next to the valve and must be causing the leak (with tyre on and inflated, air is lost around all the inner rim bolts which it didnt do before) I wanted to know if I can apply a new silicone bead to the two rims without splitting. Called Mike B earlier and he confirmed there is no need to split Rest is as archives - ie clear silicone high modulus mastic sealant Edited by - Sandy on 11 Aug 2010 13:39:05
  18. I reckon a tyre fitter today upset the bead when replacing a valve - so the rim now leaks. I'm planning on removing the exposed bead between the inner and outer rims and simply replacing with a new bead of silicone sealant. I dont want to split, undo or replace the bolts so is there any reason my approach isnt the correct one 🤔

    Rear ARB

Standard 01 SLR - Picked up an advisory on my MOT that there is play in the bushes. These look orange - can just the bushes be replaced? Looking on CC website they seem to list front ARB but not rear so any guidance appreciated
  20. Still looking if anyone can help please Someone must have a shabby pair of 8" rears kicking around cluttering up the garage 🤔 My pile of 205 R888s is getting bigger and ive nothing to fit them to 😬
