  1. hi, ihave an older 406 that i had to do this for mot. i think there is a small rubber bung near to the bolt holes, you will nead pliers to pull it out. use flat blade screwdriver to adjust. richard

  3. hi nigel, if this is 71/4inch you can get several poundage A.P. clutch covers, i use a steel orange one still heavy. you realy need to know what is fitted now, otherwise how can you choose a lighter one. can he not find out the spec. he has now from previous owner. richard.

  5. hi all, if you are going to use a new alloy block look into the the type of liners. there are at least 2 types that i know of, the best seem to be wilcox ones these have a wide flange at the top of bore presume these are more stable. I have a ford produced block and burton liners and the liners do seem to move into the block by a few thou. richard

    hi all, need one cosworth piston 90.4dia. one or two inlet valves 1.4inch dia. long dick type. outer valve spring. thanks for looking, from richard.
  13. ian your are correct use Valvoline 20-50 racing this is the only oil for crossflows and bd,s. tools and bdg
  14. all now fixed thanks to alan. have just finished fitting them. ride hight 8mm higher with your spring platform settings and quite even so will try this. will change springs later. thanks from richard.

  21. am trying to wire up my alternator this is 3 wire type plug, have put jumper to the 2 original large wires on original loom and also fitted large yellow wire from plug to this,this is the horizontal pin on alternator plug. have fitted small wire from plug to original small wire on loom.1 of the vertical pins. [should be wire to ignition light but this does not give any ignition light but there is live feed on this wire]. there is also a live feed to ignition light without this wire fitted. have fitted middle size wire from plug to switched ignition supply.other vertical pin. and fitted very large wire from side of alternator to feed on starter solanoid. this is how i was told to wire up. any help would be welcome. thanks from richard.
