  1. Having bought some new wheels I am getting rid of my old track wheels, 13 x 6 minilite style wheels. These are painted black and are in all honesty, tatty, really they are tatty, although straight and true. Currently they have a knackered set of AO48's on them but will remove if anyone wants the wheels. These are FOC to anyone who wants to collect from Purley, Surrey. Cheers
  2. Hi Paul Are the wheels and tyres still up for sale, was waiting to hear back from you on if others ahead of me had not taken them up. Interested in them if wheels and tyres if still up for sale. Cheers Phil

  7. Took car to have the dreaded MOT test this week, everything fine as expected apart from it failed miserably on emissions. The car is a 1999 roadsport running a 1.8k engine on roller barrels with an MBE ecu, is was originally a 1.6k roadsport but put the new engine and ecu in last year. It was not just a fail it was off the chart fail, it broke the machine so tester not best pleased. Essentially there was lots of un burnt fuel coming out the exhaust, the car does back fire nicely which I kind of like. Has anyone an idea as to what is causing such a bad reading and possible solutions. They spoke about a vacuum pipe from inlet manifold to ecu as a fuel sensor but I cannot see a point where this could be on the inlet or ecu. I think that was on the old standard k engine but not roller barrels. Any suggestions welcome, or do I need to find a Caterham friendly garage. Thanks
  8. Hi Lee 2008 as titled but good point it is a 4 door saloon Cheers Phil
  9. The time has come to sell my work car as new one is imminent and cannot keep them all. This was originally my company car that I then bought when I left that business so has been essentially one owner from new. Details of the car below: BMW 320d M Sport edition manual Mileage: 107,000 with full BMWsh Metallic paint the one that looks black in some light then a blue shade in other light, just cannot remember the exact name of it. BMW motorsport 18" alloys all tyres have plenty of tread left Usual spec for car M sports suspension, M body styling kit black leather interior with sports M badged s/wheel and M logo on gear stick and door sills along with sports seats. BMW integrated Sat Nav Integral hands free, phone works through the car speaker This has been a great car, most of the miles have been motorway miles hence the high mileage. The car is in very good condition all round but it has been used so not pristine. Bad points: Just had service 10 days ago, but noticed that it has another check in 2000 miles will check out why that is. I drive button has intermittent fault where it will not select option, BMW cannot find fault as no fault code has been logged in the cars system, but hopefully will get this sorted before the car goes. I cannot park so alloys have some curbing marks. Need to move along as new car due any day price reduced to £7800 for quick sale Car located in Purley, surrey Thanks Phil Edited by - philking on 9 Sep 2013 18:23:23

    Fitting Diff

Having just bought a replacement diff I now need to fit to the car, this is a standard Caterham diff 3.64 ratio to replace my 3.92 on a De Dion car. My question is really how difficult is this to do and any tips on specific problems I will face. Any pointers to how best to do this would be much appreciated. Thanks Phil
  19. Hi Roger wondered if the tillets are still available, I would be interested if not sold. Thanks Phil

  21. Hi Shaun If this does not work out with Nick I would be interested in the radiator, let me know if things fall through. Cheers Phil
  22. Hi Myles Sorry about your grandmother always a tough time. The set up looks good to me, if you are looking to sell would be interested, but I was looking to sort this for a few track days this summer. I am using 13" wheels so assume it would be fine for that size. Let me know, no worries if difficult, but if you have plans on dimensions that would be great. Cheers Phil
