Hi Graham No problems, it is the standard supersport engine from caterham it is out of my roadsport car this is the upgrade to the standard roadsport engine. I have never had it dyno'd, but is rated at 135/138bhp they seem to quoted as both but never checked. It does come with clutch and flywheel and the other parts, except and apologies for missing this out the starter motor, I have edited the post to reflect this detail. Due to an upgrade I now have my orginal 1.6K series EU2 supersport engine up for sale. This was originally in the car when bought and has covered 18,000 all road miles, regularly serviced during my ownership at Redline. When removed from the car about 5 weeks ago it was running perfectly with no problems at all, has stood covered since in my garage. The engine has had Piper verniers fitted but apart from that is completely standard and comes complete with wiring loom, original ecu and plipper, although the alternator and starter motor have been removed for the new engine. The clutch and flywheel come with the engine so this is just a drop in replacement unit. Due to the size collection only but looking for £580.00 for the whole set up. Hi Andrew I am looking for some 185's only unfortunately 205's will not fit rims, if you would be willing to split sets I would be happy to offer for 2 or 4 of the 185's. No rush if you want to see interest but will leave it there if anyone wants 205's only. Cheers

I have for sale a 52mm throttle body I put onto my ss sport engine but due to upgrade this is now surplus to requirements. How does £65.00 including postage to UK address sound.

Hi Sorry to clear it up my car is an EU2 I am putting an EU3 engine in, it is a 1999 roadsport previously 1600 supersport engine if that makes a difference. Thanks Phil

A bit of help is required please, I am in the process of fitting a new engine to my car, it was an EU2, the new engine is an EU3 which fortunately came with wiring loom as well. However I understand that there could be an issue with the rev counter reading incorrectly or low, is this the case and is there a fix for it. I would like to get all the bits bought so come the weekend I can hopefully fit it without rushing around for parts, any help or pointers would be appreciated. Cheers

Hi Steve I might be interested in this if it fits my car, could you let me know the measurement from the mounting bracket to the end of the inlet pipe. If you have any photo's that would be useful. Thanks

Thanks for the suggestions, just tried it out seems better but will take it for a longer run tomorrow and see if fully cured, appreciate all your help.

Has anyone any suggestions as to why this is happening or ways to rectify an annoying problem. I recently had verniers fitted to 1600 SS and set at recommended 70 thou inlet and 50 thou exhaust. After fitting the tick over was a little lumpy but engine runs really well once revving above tick over and through to rev limit. However once engine is fully up to temperature it cuts out when I pull up, making driving in traffic a problem. Everything else is standard SS on the engine, I am guessing the verniers have caused the problem, but not sure, any suggestions and possible solutions, not driving in traffic unfortunately is not one. Thanks
