  8. Thanks guys, So, possible sender fault which is a cheap thing to fix or don't worry too much. Now all I have to do if find the sender I have been told that the K suffers from weak head gaskets which alarmed me some what However, if that was the case I would expect an increase in water temp also. 9. Oh and its a 1.6 K series SummerLightningHaze
  10. Noticed an increase in oil temperature at WightBlat and having just returned from a run to Goodwood the problem persists - I am getting worried. 1] Oil temp was always around the 80deg mark (12 o-clock) but now rising to the next marker which I assume is around 90-100deg. 2] Oil pressure dropping slightly but it could be me just noticing it more. 3]No discernable difference in water temp. 4]All okay when driving in traffic or at reasonably low speeds. I did top up with synthetic oil before WB. I do not know what type of oil was originally used. Could this have an effect? Any ideas? Phil ----- SummerLightningHaze
  11. Well done Possibly see you out and about some time Phil SummerLightningHaze
  12. Miles, Just thought of a possible hiccup - I don’t have the stanchions for the spare screen as they are on my own car. YHM also Regards Phil SummerLightningHaze
  13. Miles, Does it need to be pristine for the SVA? I have a spare one with black frame but it has three stone chips (not in the eye-line). You are welcome to borrow. Phil SummerLightningHaze
  14. Thanks guys and for offer from Steve. Feel like I would become a pariah if I fitted – Nevertheless, I quite like them. To hell with it - Yes please Steve. Phil SummerLightningHaze
  15. I was up at CC today and noticed that many of the CF cycle wings had a rubber ‘U’ section edging strip. It appeared to be a single moulding as there was no obvious join. Is this available from CC - If so what is its part number? Phil SummerLightningHaze
  16. Looks good Chris - like the colour scheme. Many have done it and I have great admiration for such an undertaking. Much of my youth was spent (wasted) tinkering with cars and I just know it would turn into a full rebuild and the car would not see the light of day for years. Lock-up is 4 miles from home - Not a great incentive. I know, I know excuses 🙆🏻 Phil SummerLightningHaze
  17. Hi Steve, I can see the logic……… Having just a lock-up with no lighting, electricity or heating makes it a bit difficult all round. ☹️ As for competent mates……… After a weekend working with ‘Mr Fussy’ they’d probably resort to violence. Phil SummerLightningHaze
  18. Thanks who ever you are. Interesting about the chassis plate. So basically you can’t buy a skinned chassis from Arch and build you own 7; it must come via Caterham as a starter kit 🤔 🤔 🤔 Personally, I would be quite happy to transfer the parts from one to another, but a complete strip down and reassembly would be a bridge to far. Phil SummerLightningHaze
  19. . Any answer 🤔 SummerLightningHaze
  20. How does that compare with buying a new skinned chassis and transferring all the bits? Phil SummerLightningHaze
  21. Link not working CC part numbers 76103 & 76104 Phil SummerLightningHaze
