  1. This wednesday with club £200 sound fair
  2. Caterham 1.8K Super Sport/R300 - £11,995SVA’d 2008 (New Chassis & Suspension) – However carries a K plate 1992 so NO Catalytic converter and lenient emissions for the MOT. As seen in Low Flying March 2010 – 4 page article I built the car over two years with donor parts coming from a 1.4K super sport and the help of Ben Rocky (Classic Car Workshop) of Parham, Sussex. I have receipts, along with pictures at each stage of the build, in the last two years the car has only covered 750 miles, I am not getting the use from it. It was built as a fast road car with occasional track day, power is in the region of 150 bhp, may be more, it certainly gives the R300 boys a tough time. 1.8K series Engine – VVC head (big valves) with DVA blanking kit & Piper Cams, Verniers, New Cam belt. 6 Speed Caterham box, refreshed, new drive shaft fitted. LSD AP Suretrac, rebuilt by Road & Race – new ratio 3.62 Wide Track Adjustable Bilstein Suspension Apollo Tank Stainless 4 in 1 exhaust R300 Alloy Radiator Key Less – Alarm – Red starter button Tillet Drivers seat – Leather passenger seat New scuttle with fly screen Spare 1400 Engine Spare Windscreen 13’’ Wheels with Toyo 888’s Full roll cage. Black wings and nose, polished body. I welcome any inspection, this car in my view is immaculate. Pictures are on Flickr – Search by profile – Miles20050

  7. I agree go faster - Sod it, I will just keep going until blows, then it will give me a good excuse to rebuild, said this last year
  8. Belts are new and not rubbing Not tried taking out of gear at 40 to 50 suppose I will have to try
  9. Car is a 1.8K series - hydraulic lifters, VVC head Oil pressure fine, engine is strong, pulls really well. On tick over engine is very quiet. However not always but at 40 to 50 miles per hour your can hear a distinct ticking noise this was its first outing for over 5 months, engine bedding in??? Any ideas??
  10. Looking to upgrade front brakes - Caterham direct want £600 + which is pretty salty. I have found Peter Lloyd Rallying that do a kit for £377 265mm Discs, pads, pipes etc - seems fair - any other suggestions?
  11. Thanks for the replys I will check what I have bought. Kind regards Miles
