I hammered a nail flat and filed it to fit behind the terminal. This enabled me to release the tangs and out they pop. Don’t forget to replace the grommets if you have that type of connector. Phil Why does it always rain on me even when the sun is shining?

I’m pleased you went for the course. Keep me posted on your progress. I am ashamed to say I have not made any myself since completing the course. I blame work, but that’s just an excuse for being a lazy 🙆🏻. Phil Why does it always rain on me even when the sun is shining?

Absolutely – Course is demanding but tutor has a relaxed manner. Be prepared to roll kayak and escape and get very wet!

I must have missed you at the Gribble. I have been a coupel of times this year due to holiday, illness, rain etc. Southwater do have a club network but I am not a member of that or any other as yet. I want to get some equipment first and have a paddle up the rivers, hence this thread.

Having just completed the 1 star kayak course I’m keen to get some river/lake experience but don’t want to invest in new kit just yet. On the look out for a second hand model. Possibly a Dagger, Perception or Pyranha, ideally with paddles and spray deck. ----- Phil

I have recently changed my 7” to 5¾” and found that the terminals supplied on the new Wipac loom were different from those fitted to the standard. I did not want to cut and replace with bullets or spades. My originals were fitted with a multi plug arrangement (1999 Superlight). I disconnected each plug from the multi connector of the 7” lamps and threaded the loom back through the tubular bracket. I then disconnected the terminals from the two bulb connectors using a thin extraction tool hammered out of a hardened nail. This effectively left me with a naked loom which I connected to the new 5¾” lamps and reversed the procedure. A bit of a faff, threading the looms back through the tubes but they now look original and untouched. ----- Phil

Green with yellow nose band and stripe. About 12:00-12:30, filtering onto A303 for a few hundred yards then peeled off again into Business Park or something similar. I was in the company diesel Ford Galaxy and boy was I envious. *cry* Phil

Caterham supplied (via Phil) SPA Race Mirrors, Black, Convex 'Formula' L/H & R/H Part No. 77333/4, Brand New, Boxed, £60.00 carriage paid in UK. Purchased from Phil Morris back in December with a view to replacing my Racetech items. Unfortunately, the mounting position of my existing mirrors does not work with these SPA versions and I do not want to drill new fixing holes in my aeroscreen; therefore, I am offering for sale as purchased. ----- Phil
