  1. Gone soft in my old age. Just something I’ve been used to with the other car.
  2. Looking for a fresh air heater, anyone hardcore have one for sale. Ta Pete
  3. Yes please will contact later to arrange Thanks Pete
  4. The springs on the Quantum Chris, are they progressive front and rear or not at all?
  5. I’ve run my silver top narrow track on Leda suspension for near 20 years. With 300lb front and 185 lb rears. This was set up for track work but has always been very harsh on the road and a bit skittish. What do others run for a comfortable road car. I’ve tried some standard progressive springs on the rear that were much better but these were too low as not right for the car and non adjustable. I also have the type which have the spike up through the roll bar like live axle although de Dion axle. Thanks
  6. Thanks guys, think I will be phoning Simon and getting the Titon belts with the lap adjustment at the top end. They've always been stuck down the side of the seats which is a pain after the kids have been in. Also frees the seats up when you want to move it.
  7. I have some 2” Caterham branded Luke 4 point harness in the car from way back when, some 20 years old. As they are well old now and a bit thinner than the new type what would be the recommendation for replacement, Caterham parts show two types at least.
  8. During a trip last year I must admit that having the oldest car with a spare I did feel I was carrying it for everyone else as well. Would you leave a man behind or lend him your wheel
  9. I see omex do a complete kit with everything you need in it. There's a couple of bits I have fitted already such as the manifold and some of the sensors including the throttle one. Anyone used this kit ? Would that be a good route or buy things separately .
  10. After converting to 45s in 2014 on my Zetec I think I am going to take the plunge and go injection just to get the smooth instant revs and a better drive. Will need a new tank and an ecu etc, lots of advice on here as to what to get but who would be able to complete this work in the midlands area ? Any suggestions as although I have the time time not sure I have the knowledge. I'm okay bolting bits on but fuel lines and wiring worry me.
  11. An original James Whiting Zetec 4-1 exhaust. These are the primaries and collector provided when going from X flow to zetec. Uses the original xflow silencer so the pipe into the box is angled. My set up had a Vauxhall box on it with a reducer to get down to the 2 1/4" and its just a year old but very loud. Number 4 had a small weld on the flange but that was years ago, so a very servicable set. Removed to get a quieter raceline system. Also another box availiable but would need to be opened and packed as its pretty ringy, this has the right size pipe for a direct fit. Photos on facebook Lotus 7 owners page. Not sure of value but I'm sure would go to a locost owner on ebay. I know I have to quote a price so £200
  12. Thanks I've just bought something similar so will see how this works out, as long as they drown out my exhaust and induction it will be fine.
  13. I Have a ram mount bolted through the bulkhead so the iphone will sit there instead of the tom tom so thats why I wanted bleutooth. Ive used HF2's and they are good though.
  14. I am ditching my very old tom tom in favor of my iPhone setup that I use in the tin top. I want some in ear Bluetooth bud type earphones so I can hear music and satnav instructions. Any recommendations for earphones being used for music etc, these will also act as sound defenders. Cheers Pete
  15. Blasted past my Fathers motorhome, must have been bored to get all the numbers down. C7KAT M15EVN GAHOOT SP61ORT C7SVV S717VKL C7MBX HS97BKM Safe trip guys.
  16. James W used an Airtex E8012S back in 2000 on my silver top, I think these are a bit hard to get hold of now. Mine failed (as seen in the August picture of this years calander) but I did find another spare online. Rated 5 / 9 psi.
  17. Are there any tips or tricks when setting rear ride height. Is the only way to measure, jack up, whip the wheels off, adjust, put wheels back on and repeat?
  18. Is that the weight I tell the Dr I am or the real one, and as Ive got flares I will guess at the front :) Cheers
  19. Before I started changing the rear spring today I took a measure of height just in front of rear wing. I cant remember where to measure the front and what sort of difference there should be? I think it should be 15mm lower at the front! As it happened one of the shocks was less than in good condition so they have gone off to be serviced, but It would be good to set the rear height once they are back.
  20. Sorted thanks for the info, Same springs as DT similar price so went direct to Faulkners. UPS next day, result, and they were 10.5 ". What I thought a difficult job made easy with Blatchat. Cheers Pete
  21. Thanks, just put on stands and the springs are just loose enough to measure. They come in at 26cm or 10 1/4" . Next question is where to get the ( Demon Twonks ) ?? Going from 185 down to 140s as the ride is harsh. S3 dedion.
