  1. Worth checking wiring connections to starter are tight, also check them for heat after cranking, indicating a poor connection.
  2. You may need to check that they are close enough to the edge of the vehicle to pass IVA if they are in the headlamp bowls. Alastair
  3. PQS100840P POLYVEE DRIVE BELT AFTERMARKET My order no. From Rimmer bros. Sorry, scratch that, mine is a 1.8 I don't know if they are the same. Alastair
  4. Giles, looks like a trip to Halfords may help. These say they cover 90% of cars and h4 h7 h1 bulbs. Sods law means your Dad's will be in the 10%, but worth a shot for £1.80 without club discount!! https://www.halfords.com/motoring/car-parts/electrical-lighting/headlights/halfords-headlamp-retaining-spring-h4-hfx694 Alastair
  5. Size of mine is 950mm x 550mm. Brunel looks to have minimum order of ten units, but maybe worth asking about fewer if they already have the artwork. Just don't forget about all the inverse lightness you will be adding!!
  6. Hi Rob. The original is stainless. Will confirm size in the morning. Alastair
  7. No Stu, I don't know anything about them. I just saw that they had that example which does look of a reasonable quality, and their pricing looks reasonable. Alastair

  9. I have the original non fitted dash plaque from superlight #175 and the superlight stickers in a folder, if they would be easier to copy. I am one of the guilty few who didn't fit theirs on completion of the build! Alastair
  10. Agreed. Worth it for the peace of mind if nothing else! Alastair
  11. I had the very same experience at Mallory in to the hairpin. Very scary, the pedal feel was there but brakes were ineffective. I had to pump them twice to get them to bite. I put it down to overheating of the pads. I changed them and the fluid when I got home. I haven't had a problem since. Alastair
  12. These are Toyota hilux wheels, not little Caterham ones. Just on the off chance that anyone is travelling this way. Thanks for looking. Alastair
  13. That will be a Pipercross 604d. Just replaced mine for the same reason. They should be regularly cleaned and oiled. Pipercross sell cleaning and oiling kits. Mine was never cleaned or oiled and lasted 16 years.
  14. I have the instruction manual if you need a copy. Alastair
  15. Andrew, can you not crimp the small one on, cut the spade off and then crimp the larger one on the top. I appreciate this is a bit of a bodge, but may work. Alastair
  16. Thank you Si. 0.89mm
  17. In the archives I can only find 0.9mm, but the original ones that I have just removed were set at 0.7mm. Is it the same for all k series, or does it vary with level of tune? Alastair

    IPhone 6s

Anyone have one they have been meaning to sell? Looking for one for my daughter. Thanks for looking Alastair
  19. Apparently the Gates kit no. Is K045433XS The car you need to search for is a 2008 fiesta zetec s. Ford class this engine as zetec s, caterham call it sigma. Special tools are required, and it is possible to mess up the timing if they are not used. Alastair
  20. I would test the voltage to the starter. Next step remove starter and bench test with some jump leads and your new battery.
  21. A429 north Glos. I waved from the John Deere going in the opposite direction.
  22. I waved from the Skoda Octavia on the opposite side of the road. My wife just said, "what are you doing he's not going to wave to a skoda is he!!"...and you didn't.
  23. Thanks Jonathan, all sorted now. It's been off and back on three times now, but managed to get it working on the bench first and now is working fine. Not really sure what cured it.
