  1. Chap with a new Sigma academy car i met at Cadwell today described exactly that on his Sigma and it was a speed sensor on one of the back wheels had come adrift/ uncoupled or had pulled a wire out . I have no idea on Sigma cars but this may be problem if it has a speed sensor on back wheel. Sounds like this is your trouble maybe. He bought it from Cat Mids so i suspect Nick there will have heard about this. I think it was caused by them rerouting the cable on the post build check or something. 2. I seem to recall Jill telling me to stick it in the bath and give it a good scrubbing 😬 Can't remember what detergent / soap she recommended though. Luke warm i suspect as well.

    Nintendo Wii

Hi, does anyone have a Wii they want to sell. My 8 yr old wants one for christmas along with a host of other stuff so if anyone is fed up with theirs please give me a bell. My mobile is 07766912648 or email n.gilby@yahoo.com Cheers Neil . Obviously any driving games are a bonus 😬 😬
  5. Yes i see. oh dear. Good luck with finding the problem. As you say it's a right bugger when things like this happen. Expensive too. Hope you've caught it in time. Neil
  6. Not an expert on Busas but you say oil pressure is low. Is this at revs when hot or at idle when hot , or when cornering or braking ?? My BEC , a blackbird, runs very low pressure when hot at idle ie at 100 degrees 1500 rpm oil pressure can be only 15 psi. However as soon as you blip the throttle oil pressure wangs up to 66 psi from 2500 rpm and beyond. Oil temperature for a fully synthetic can go quite high on bikes . i spoke to a bloke at Rock oil about this the other day and temperatures of 110 deg plus are common. If i pull away at idle the engine can drag down to 1000 rpm and i can get 5 psi and alarm lights on my Stack. This is nothing to worry about apparantly. However if your oil pressure is falling at steady throttle openings say 3000 and above rpm then that is a cause for concern, granted. Maybe speak to Rob at Mistral or Holeshot Racing for clarification before you face a hefty blow up. Best Neil
  7. 185/60-13 for front GG is medium compound on a 6 inch rim 205/60-13 for rear same compound.on an 8 inch rim. SG is soft compund. This is for road use, i've no idea if they are for a racing series or sprints as they all have their own rules. As per above, tyres are susceptible to frost damage. Neil
  8. See Jimmyslr's post in for sale if you want the dry sump option.
  9. Will, bugger off and get another Caterham soon *wavey*
  10. Yes loads of people run them on 8 inch including me. No problems at all. Cheers Neil
  11. Nick, sorry but i've just realised i changed my email address and didn't alter it on my blatmail. Changed it now so could you try again please. n.gilby@yahoo.com Best Neil
  12. For what it's worth i have been running my Blackbird for 18 months or so and there is no way i'd consider a Caterham now without a sequential box. Had a go in a 2.3 duratec the other day with 5 speed box and oh my god , how looooonnng and sllooooooooww was that gear shift. Just my tuppence wuth!! Best Neil
  13. Broke mine today at Curborough. Anyone got one. Smoked dark preferable although i'd consider a clear one. Ring me on 07766912648 Cheers Neil

    R400 SV SOLD

Lardy, Lotus Exige!! Can't believe you're going to be a mobile chicane around Snetterton from now on!! *confused* 😬 😬 Good luck with the sale, can confirm it is faster than my Blackbird...harummph!!
  15. Think i'm coming graham and maybe Gary as well. *wavey*
  16. Richard, cool !! I'll be out with micrometers and rulers soon as. If it doesn't come out with 1500 lbs then i'm a dutchmen 😬 😬
  17. How do you know what spring rates you've got? Mine has black springs on the front and green springs on the back. It has an orange front ARB. Mine is rock hard like Mikes, far too hard for the road in fact. Has me bouncing around in the seat and the car becomes air-bourne over the slightest crest. All great fun but combined with some toe out and negative camber it all adds up to a right twitchy handful. When i've got a moment i'll give Gary at Freestyle a ring and see what he suggests. Neil
  18. Hi guys, now my Blackbird, fab though it is is just too stiffly suspended for road use. My poor old back doesn't like it. I suspect it has the race spec Bilsteins on which coupled with it's light weight makes it a bit of a rodeo ride on a bumby b road. It's great on track but i use it on road as well. It has green springs on the back. You can tell how stiff it is by the fact that the front wings hardly move at all on a b road. My old roadsport was far comfier on the road and the front wings bounced up and down like a good un. So then looking at options. It an ideal world i'd have a set of Nitrons but at £1200-00 a bit pricey for me. Does anyone have any experience of the Avo shocks that Freestyle sell. I obviously want to be able to adjust for road and then stiffen for track. What suspension do you Blackbird boys have ? Cheers in advance Neil ( with a sore back)
  19. Don't know much about busa's but my blackbird engine on idle when warm ie 1200 rpm oil pressure is 20 something. Shoots up to 60 psi as soon as blip throttle. I think it's normal for bike engine oil pressure to be low on idle when oil warm. Cold oil on start up is higher obviously.
  20. Transmission loss on my blackbird is 32 bhp. ie 165 at flywheel, 133 bhp at wheels. Not a bugger to push around though. Has a Nova reverser and LSD and 205 rears. My mates Wills was the same to within 1 bhp. Cheers Neil
