    TPS wiring

Throttle bodies fitted, electrics sorted rolling roaded 185.7 bhp. But looks like may weekend road test is doomed, rain on its way for Saturday and Sunday. J
  3. Quoting Z3MCJez: Get one free from a former academist. And tie wrap it on, rather than faffing with bolts ... Jez I have riveted the back plate to the grille which has two rivnuts fitted. The screw head bolts screw staight in, fixing the strut to the grille. I find this far quicker and easier than cable ties, fitted in seconds. Job done Jeremy
  4. Hi Oli, Yes I used 20mm long allen head bolts. J
  5. Yes James you are correct using the full cage mount by your knee. But my car uses a 10mm thread as it is a metric chassis. J
  6. ...... and dont forget your race numbers. J
  7. Hi Phil It was my first season last year. Mark the earth cable on the battery with yellow tape. My R300 had yellow sleeves on the cable which I slid towards the battery clamp and don't seem to have a problem at scrutineering. I think you have to show, how to switch ignition off. I made a sticker myself and stuck to dash. ( Being tight ) 😳 I am sure the more experienced guys will be along later to add a few more. Jeremy

    TPS wiring

Just fitted Jenveys to R300d. and need to fit new plug to TPS wiring. Battery voltage is low at the moment so can anyone confirm my readings to wires Green/Yellow 5V supply White/grey Signal Brown/Black Negative Cheers Jeremy
  10. Fitted roadsport cage end of last season. Sent my tonneau to Jill and Nick at soft bits for sevens. A1 job. Think it cost approx £60 + p+p. Jeremy
  11. I've seen the pressure in division 1, we are better staying in division 2.
  12. Hi Chris 189.6 that means there is no excuse not to beat Class 4 division 1 😬 😬 J
  13. Excellent news Chris, dare we ask how many ponies. Jeremy
  14. Quoting TonyR: You have mail re pics Tony Cheers Tony
  15. Oh doh I meant Mr Gibbs J
  16. Chris, did you get my e-mail ?
  17. Hi Chris, no need to get cheeky just because I beat you in Anglesey. Must of been a fluke. I have the loom for injectors as this is seperate, but was more concerned about air mass sensors etc which are on the plenum which have a large plug. Tony any chance of some pics of tb's and wiring close up. Cheers J
  18. Hi Martin, yes it does sound good but as Chris mentioned if I achieve 200bhp we will have to map back to 190 max as a Class 4 sprint car. Chris it wouldn't make any difference if I had 289.9 bhp. J
  19. Yes, same performance but Jenveys cost less. The car will be going to the 2 Steves for a remap. J
  20. Hi Chris, If you can have them so can I. Besides we don't want you having an added advantage . Its hard enough to to try and keep up with class 4 as it is. See you soon. Martin, having had experience with Jenvey and the extra cost to have roller barrels I have opted for the Jenvey. I have also heard that they are more suited to road use. Jeremy
  21. I am soon going to convert my R300d to Jenvey throttle bodies. Just ,a post to see if anyone has carried out this upgrade, and if a new loom from ecu to engine is required. The loom currently from the ecu seems to be wired into Caterham OE loom. Thanks Jeremy
  22. Hi Tim. Yes that is right ex demo car and I do remember speaking to you. Maybe see you at DJ's track day this year, hopefully with tb's fitted to the R300. J
  23. Quoting John Vine: When I took my R400D (alloy plenum) to the two Steve's, Steve P commented that I'd be much better off with the plastic plenum set-up. He gave two reasons: (a) the mixture drawn through the plenum remains cooler (and thus denser, improving volumetric efficiency), and (b) a much smoother airflow. Judging by mic's comment, Mr P was correct! JV Yes John, Steve was telling me the same thing about the benefits of a plastic plenum for my R300. Good luck with the build Tim and see you on a Taffia blat soon. Jeremy South Wales
