Panic over, drilled out some rivets and located the threaded hole. Drilled interior panel and strut fitted perfect. Thanks for all the help. Chris I had a zetec with tb,s on my last 7esque, you be impressed with the performance and driveability. I intend to take the 7 on holiday to France and looking at your website, maybe you could give some advice on where to stay. Cheers Jeremy

Hi Aeroscreens, correct me if I am wrong as new to Caterhams, but I believe the older bar is a two piece, and the caged isn't. There are no joins in mine. Jeremy

Hi Ian Thanks for the advice, I lined the strut up yesterday and it seems a little too short to reach the vertical rivets. Hope it will fit. Jem

Just bought a petty strut from a club member, for a metric chassis S3 with a Caged bar. Before I drill the rivets out of the side panel is there a measurement I can mark out and drill so I can locate the thread for the lower mount. Thanks in advance Jeremy
