  1. Is it the plastic mount that they are not happy with or the fact the mount is 'stuck' to the aluminium bracket rather than attached by a more secure method? Will the scrutineers be any wiser than us or will it be down to individual interpretation? Hopefully common sense will prevail and suction cups and sticky pads will be the only limitations. Jeff
  2. The 7 will be dusted down and moved to its new home this weekend. After 7 months of neglect in the factory, 2 flat tyres, a dead battery, a dead rat in the footwell and 6mm thick black dust all over I shall endeavour to restore her to her former "glory". Only upgrade is to fit carbon rear wings that I will probably knock off at the first event. Bring on the sunshine!
  3. Hopefully soon Oli Its been difficult planning anything with us not knowing when Will could be called in for an op. Appointment with consultant tomorrow, so should know a lot more and finally get him sorted. ( He's being treated for Crohn's disease). Jeff
  4. Well done Oli Looked like a cracking battle with Graham ! Jeff
  5. I will unfortunately be skiing. As someone who has increased their X powers rev limit to 7600, I did it without fitting forged pistons and therefore face the risks attached. My thoughts were that as the car would mainly be used for sprints it would only be at the high end of the rev band for short periods May be worth considering if you go down this route Jeff

  8. to Blyton! I thought the circuit was perfect for sprinting, a fast venue mixed with some technical bits to keep you on your toes. Richard, the owner, was very accommodating, and apart from the wind blowing over the timing board once the day went very smoothly. Thoroughly enjoyed the track day as well Jeff

  14. Yellow trowel must go to Graham H (hope you and the car are ok Graham) I got red flagged and spotted Graham about 50 yards off the track in the field by the first chicane! Congrats to Jon for beating me again 😬 Although wet all day, a thoroughly enjoyable days hooning. Jeff. (who buggered off early to higher ground to try to get a phone signal to reply to an emergency text from home, that turned out not to be an emergency but succeeded in me getting totally lost on a firing range )
