  1. Please let us (well me, anyway) if this one fits. Thx AB
  2. OK - will try that. Dontcha just love dealing with novices. [starting is not a problem. Stopping can be an issue. Almcove polishing ] AB
  3. I knew I had forgotten something... Goodwood form wants a license number, and the form only just went in the post. Roughly how long does MSA take (days or weeks... ☹️). I assume Bognor Regis MC would not appreciate "t.b.a." on the form... AB
  4. Its a difficult choice. I need to fund an attempt at sprinting, so I'm selling off their toys/safety equipment first. If there are no takers, then I'll decide which one goes. The small one is noiser, but the big one eats more. So - please buy the stuff first, as I'd probably miss them, after a while anyway. AB
  5. Battery powered "Scooty" trike, suitable for 3/4/5 year old - £25. Triang peddle trike, with handle - £15 2 Lindam stair gates – fittings and instructions incl. £15 for pair John Lewis “Alice” Cot - beech finish £50 All very good condition Collect from Claygate.
  6. Martin... Brands Hatch... pot... kettle AB
  7. It was the physical swap from standard to SS ECU that upset mine. The cable looked OK, and for a short while was OK. But it worked its way loose by about 0.5mm and that was enough for very rough running, popping etc. I unplugged/plugged in about 5 times before it really connected properly. AB
  8. My shift light comes on magically whenever I wash the car. IIRC it did start coming on as one of the symptoms of my rough running last year. That was cured (I think) mainly by a slightly badly connected ECU cable . After fitting/removing the connector a few times it finally made a better contact, and the spluttering went. The total engine upgrade solution is probably preferable though. AB
  9. Just what I wanted - thanks Richard! AB
  10. Anyone know what the spring rates would be for a standard narrowtrack 2001 K series Roadsport? Also, am I right in that the dampers would be "M0", and should be 14" front and 18 1/2" rear fully open? Thanks AB
  11. That was the less extreme parking. Previous configuration was even more exciting. A slightly disappointing end to an otherwise excellent blat. AB
  12. Brooklands screens are usually attached to a stanchion which is a direct replacement for the windscreen stanchion/brackets. You bolt the screens to the stanchion, and the stanchion to the scuttle using the existing holes. The trick is to use countersunk bolts under the stanchion for the screens, so swapping over is easy. I think some people have mounted the screens onto the scuttle directly (Tony C). CC don't supply any mirrors with the Brooklands kit - just stanchion and screens. Most people use SPA Design mirrors IIRC, or nice shiny retro looking ones. See here: clicky AB
  13. Les has a full set for sale (including dampers) from an SLR if anyone is interested. I'm just looking for the platforms. AB
  14. Looking for adjustable platform kit for Bilsteins. Thanks AB
  15. Unlikely that there are many of these going spare, but who knows. I'm looking for a drivers side floor for a de-dion S3. Thanks AB
  16. Madmaninshed, Which make of LSD are Caterham now supplying? I thought they were possibly/maybe thinking of supplying Quaife's AB
  17. Nope - no high speed reversing. Will have a poke about with the multimeter to see if I can find a + and -. AB
  18. My speedo is dead Again *mad*. But this time the odometer has gone as well, so I'm guessing a wire has come loose somewhere, rather than a problem with sender etc. The light works + all other instruments working. Its a Caerbont unit from a '01 Roadsport. Any ideas for which colour wire does what, and where to start looking? Is there an internal fuse I should look at? Thanks AB
  19. First dibs please - YHM AB
  20. Please remove me from the "Interested" list. I've managed to secure a used diff from "For Sale". Good luck with the bulk buy. AB
  21. Would like the Quaife ATB if still available. Thanks AB
  22. Thanks for the tip - will crawl about and have a look for the adjusting screw. John - yes, I have the black faced dial. I bought it from them in person on 16/11. Very helpful they were too. Not sure what the stock problem is then AB
