  1. Aviation Leathercraft Irvin Flying Jacket. Size 42. Very good condition. £450 plus delivery costs.
  2. If it’s the metal Clayton heater, try Holden Classics - they may stock the motor
  3. Good luck with the sale of your jacket. I advertised an Irvin jacket (size 42) in excellent condition for a similar price to yours here on Blatchat in January and was surprised that I got very little interest.
  4. Thanks to all for the information. Unfortunately a little larger than I need, so I will pass.
  5. Hi, Can you please tell me the dimensions of the tubes. Presumably they are plastic? Ian
  6. If KN Jupiters and Ital PCD (95.25mm/3.75") I am interested - PM sent. Ian
  7. Powertrack (01344886522) are a good source of brake and clutch parts for "vintage/classic" vehicles

    IRVIN JACKET

Irvin Jacket (Aviation Leathercraft). Size 42 with front pockets. The jacket is in excellent condition having been worn very little. I can Email pictures to anyone interested. £450 plus P&P.
  9. There is a full set of 5 advertised on “Caterham Cars and Parts for Sale Worldwide” Facebook Page. However they are 6x13. 108 PCD.
  10. Gauges may be available from Rimmer Bros. Powertrack Ltd may be able to help with brake and clutch parts.
  11. Good luck with the restoration (perhaps more of a reincarnation judging from the pics posted!!) I am no expert on S4s but seem to remember (as you are probably aware) that the front suspension was a mixture of Europa and Triumph parts. (My brother rebuilt an S4 many years ago). Perhaps it maybe worth enquiring with the relevant Clubs if any parts are potentially available.
  12. Thanks for the responses and information.
  13. Will a full hood fit over a "standard" FIA roll bar (single diagonal as supplied by Caterham) and, if so, is the hood frame needed or does the roll bar adequately support the hood without such issues as inadequate "tension" of the hood or undue gaps to the side screens?
  14. There is a Caterham bonnet for sale on EBay, stated as from a1998 1600GT. It has the bulge on the bonnet to accommodate the single downdraft Weber, although the bulge is “solid” without the front section cut away to act as a “scoop”. You may be able to adapt this or use it as a basis to form your own. Ian
  15. I imported a Triumph Tiger motorbike (1973) into the U.K. from the USA (to where it had been exported when new). I had to pay VAT at 5% of what I paid for the bike, however there were no import duties to be paid. (I presume this would apply to vehicles in general I.e. cars as well as motorbikes). These charges were based on the bike being an unmodified classic and over 30 years old. As far as the DVLA were concerned the bike was treated as being one of 1973 vintage.
  16. Hi, Could you please PM me your Email address and I’ll send you some pics. (I struggle to up load and send pics via Blatchat). Regards, Ian

  19. E#9 Andrew - That's the one. At the time I was considering buying the car I did some research and got some history on it, If anyone is interested in this or details of the car when I viewed it (bearing in mind this was a couple of years ago) PM me.
  20. Auction as noted in #6 is now live.
  21. Coming up for Auction on Car and Classic shortly there is a SOHC VX (although described as a 1796 K series). I looked at the car sometime ago with a view to purchasing, but went for a Crossflow instead. At the time it needed a lot of TLC. It seems to have been re sprayed or wrapped since I viewed it (originally It was BRG) and maybe some other work has been done ??? Might be worth a look if the asking price reflects its condition.
  22. Is an Imperial Chassis not identifiable by locating the Arch Motors jig number - stamped on the seat belt mounting boss behind the driver’s right shoulder?
  23. Dikko, Thanks - I''l give him a bell. Ian
