  1. hello Adam, I realize Your add is from 22, however may I ask You would it fit on Duratec in a Caterham ? thks Hanns Per
  2. my supersport S3 has STAINLESS BRAIDED FLEXIBLE PTFE BRAKE HOSE from the chassis to the callipper. The connectors to the chassis and calliper are FLEXIBLE BRAKE PIPE UNIONS SELF-ASSEMBLY . Was this the standard in 2000? Or did the Caterhams have pressed union fittings? The reason I am asking is the following. So far I had never problems with the self assembly unions but the technical check last week complained that this not legal and the car cannot be used if not changed to pressed fittings. Thank you fo rYour help Hanns Per
  3. the uprated T9 is the BGH one with with all the stuff to make it stronger, the semi helical T9 is the one is the one from Tracsport. I will check with Steve if his helical gearset is stronger than the strongest T9 specs. and if it does not do backlash. this would be the simpliest solution I assume thks
  4. what I found out is that it copes with 50% more power than the upraeted T9 box?
  5. I have the semi helical T9 box but I find it quite loud up to 3rd its fo touring I sit up to 8 hrs in the car. On my uprated T9 gearbox I do not like the backlash and I am not confident if it copes well with the 250 - 260 hp of a 2.4 Duratec in the long run.
  6. I evaluate to convert to a Mazda gearbox. Is any experience what it takes to install a mazda gearobox. I have come so far that I would need a new bellhouse and a shorter propshaft with a maxda slip yoke, modify the tunnel, and the metal part between the gearbox and propshaft, a gear lever. but does it really fit?? rear mount?? thks for feedback Hanns Per
  7. just wanted to add some info from Titan on the lubes (I did refurb my rack today and could not find any info in the web so I called them) rod end to ball joint: Rocol Sapphire high pressure Pinion and the rest: Castrol speerol EPL2
  8. very impressive I have my map from a rolling road but thank You very much for writing me You approach worthwhile crosschecking. Where do You see the advantage of having 2 air pressure sensors in "ambient" environment?
  9. I had my SBD baro sensor under the scuttle which I think was wrong because I realized under the bonnet the pressure increases with speed. I will feed the airbox from the front which will lead to a higher pressure in the airbox. I could make a valve to release the higher pressure?
  10. Thats what I just found in a 2015 map qhwew I usws this sensor 0.000 0.083 0.165 0.248 0.331 0.413 0.496 0.579 0.661 0.744 0.827 0.909 0.992 1.075 1.157 1.240
  11. Hi James, I have the am. figures also for the my SBD baro sensor but since I will make me an airbox I will go back to the Ford combined MAP Sensor which was on the Plenum when I got the car in 2005. Today I had 0.97 bar with the SBD sensor, with this info I could define the correct value for the Ford /Bosch sensor also showing 0.97 bar But I miss all the other points :-( Hanns Per
  12. Thank with the SBD Baro , Volts in steps of 1/3 Volt and the Ford sensor I have also increases bar with increased volts? 0.0V 0.000 bar 0.071 0.141 0.212 0.283 0.353 0.424 0.495 0.565 0.636 0.707 0.777 0.848 0.919 0.989 5.0V 1.060 bar
  13. I am looking for the calibration figures for this sensor pls. Had no success in the web. thks in advance Hanns Per
  14. thks for your feedback I made changes in the post, hope its clear now
  15. ratios 2,482 / 1,61 / 1,225 / 1,0 / 0,82, Tracsport aluminum lid, long input shaft with HD bearing, Tracsport needle bearing upgrade 3rd and 5th gear. Gearbox was built by Classic gear garage in 2020, I used it only for 100 km in 2021 then my high torque 2.4 engine broke and I continued with the 2.0 engine and a normal T9 . thks for serious offers
  16. Hello Alan, car insuranceis here not by milage its by time regardless how many miles You drive Hanns Per
  17. for a duratec with 50mm intake. The bodies should be short enough so that an airbox would fit under the bonnet. Does anyone have experience with this? thank You Hanns Per

  19. Oh Paul, valid point with the handbrake turns but it has been a long time I did the last one, completely forgot about this :-). And thank you for the hint with the Golf caliper. Hispec though I know is lightweight and I assume slim, the normal one does not really fit within a 13 inch rim. Hanns Per with a CSR with about 215.000 km
  20. Did anyone make this installation so far? I would like to do this but cannot get any information from Hispec about the outer diameter in order to check if it fits within my 13 inch force racing wheels. thks

  22. one more thing has to bewatched the caliper bolts on my CSR are 10x 1,25mm and the VAG bolts seem to be 9x1,25mm
  23. I cut off from existing handbrake tube (spiral housing) approx. 20cm for the use in the adjustable link (in my case on the lefthand side). From this piece I removed the inner PET tube with a long driller. The remaining part (spiral heavy wire) I put over the inner PET tube of the Hispec handbrake tube. I could pull out the inner PET tube from the Hispec handbrake tube. where the 2 tubes meet I used a heat shrink tube with glue to strenghten and secure the connetion. Hispec handbrake cable and tube comes in 2 parts. hve now some experience , did not notice a problem with balance yet. Only downside is the weak handbrake brake performance also due to the shorter lever on the caliper hadbrake levers. If You want more info I can call you BRGDS Hanns Per
