I have never understood why people spend (big) money on 4 pot calipers and vented discs on a standard road car, waste of money in my opinion. I use my car mainly for track days not much road work, have 208bhp and the standard 2 pot brakes are more than adequate, many race series still use them.
  7. Even my humble little Zetec would struggle with 90db static.
  8. Hugo Szoldra, I cannot reply to your message re te price of the seats as: You can not reply to this conversation because all recipients are blocked. This message cannot be sent to Hugo Szoldra because Hugo Szoldra's mailbox is full.
  9. Probably not the type you are looking for, but I have a pair of Oxteds finest in my loft
  10. I don't think the width of imperial S3 DD tubes changed much but I would take Drumster's advice above. I changed mine after 35K because it broke
  11. Reply to Gridway #12 Ah that's what I missed, LA & 4 speed, my apologies Gridway & please ignore all what I have posted above
  12. They were/are track rod ends when used as OEM applications. EDITED: I was replying to post #7 not #8 . . . . . . Bloody useless software.
  13. Am I missing something here? I just tack welded 2 M8 x 15mm set screws to the mount from the top. This allows me to push gearbox & engine back until they locate and then put nylocs + washers on and tighten after I have located & tightened engine mounts.
  14. Oh no not THIS old chestnut, it's been done to death
  15. I have recently replaced my Lifeline with the GO RACE unit which uses spring loaded balls instead of splines, absolutely no play whatsoever & it self locates which save's having to centre the wheel before removing. I'm very pleased with it and the price is very reasonable as they extend a discount to Club members.
  16. Never bothered fitting the lower two. 45K in 20 years, never had a problem (or dirty knees).
  17. I don't like (trust) electric oil pressure gauges so converted to mechanical and took the opportunity to fit a combined gauge. Got the complete kit & lots of good advice from Matt at THINK AUTOMOTIVE Also C&LSC members get a discount from Think . THE RANGE OF GAUGES HERE
  18. Another for Protech, they have a wealth of experience of Caterham's and are very helpful people to deal with.
  19. A really great, fast & well maintained car
  20. #10 The more I look into this, the more I am leaning towards doing the same.
