  1. Thanks chaps, wasn't even sure it was K Click but looks like I have some reading to do! As you rightly say it's not a singular cause, but the car is coming off the road soon anyway for some winter jobs so I'll add it to the list.
  2. Went out yesterday afternoon for a superb blat across the Berkshire Downs, blue skies and no traffic 😬 On my return home I filled up with petrol, but after paying, the car wouldn't start, just got the single click then nothing. I tried this 5-6 times. I pushed the car out the way, phoned my wife and generally faffed about on my phone trying to get on here to have a read. Signal wasn't great so I thought I'd give it another go and she fired straight away as if nothing happened Battery voltage is 12.48v (no load). Would it be a good idea to see what the cranking voltage is? (it is persisting it down though ☹️ ) or should I look at something else./ For info the battery is a Banner and around 3 years old. Thanks, Andrew
  3. Hi Grebby, yes I thought the same after a quick google 😬 but sadly it doesn't do it ☹️ MOCA2CV, I've already bought the specialized schrader version of the pump...It looks very similar but is slightly bigger and can go to a higher pressure, so makes sense to keep it now.
  4. Specialized Air Tool Mini Bike Pump - Brand New I bought this in error last week, it is for Presta valves only not the Schrader valves I have on my bike! It is brand new, never used, but because I threw the packaging away my bike shop won't accept it back. Complete with bottle boss mounting bracket as pictured. From the Specialized website: Small size, big performance in an aluminum design with reliable locking head. Even more compact design for 2011; fits inside jersey pocket Painted black and white barrel to match bike graphics All-aluminum shaft, handle, and chamber for durable performance All-steel locking lever for leak-proof performance; Presta valve only New bottle boss mounted bracket included £14.50 posted in the UK. http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Specialized-Air-Tool-Mini-Bike-Pump-New-/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/z/OJAAAOxyBC1R~U~4/%24(KGrHqV,!lMFHlsyWzJ3BR+U+33,t!~~60_12.JPG

  8. Gibson Les Paul Studio Guitar in Ebony with Silver Hardware. A little buckle rash on the back, but otherwise in excellent condition. Sounds wonderful and comes complete with Gibson hard case and original documentation and accessories. It was bought in 2006 from Guitar Village in Surrey. It has nice low action and was properly setup by Julian Mullen in Reading. http://thumbsnap.com/s/3Ib7DKch.jpg £475
  9. One on the A46 heading north near Newark today around 4.45pm and the other on the A34 near Oxford also heading north about 6.20pm.
  10. I upgraded my Metro fuel cap to the Aero filler about a year ago. I asked CC at the time if this was the new one and they said yes. I have no issues filling the car at Shell, Esso or anywhere else and the flap is still in the neck. I don't have to worry what position the nozzle is in and it cuts off perfectly with no spills. Proves the new necks do work, though I guess CC must have a stock of the old one and I got lucky
  11. I'll be whipping out my heater very soon and just want to do a quick sanity check. Checking the archives, I presume it's something like: 1. Disconnect coolant pipes. 2. Unscrew x6 heater screws and control cable. 3. Use appropriate tool to remove existing bead of silicon. 4. Unplug the wire to the fan switch under the dash. 5. Stand and admire large hole and have a cuppa 😬 6. Rivet and silicon seal cc blanking plate in place. 7. Install new coolant pipe. Questions: a. Do I need to drain the coolant completely or can it be done in some way that just then requires it to be bled? b. I have a bleed tee installed, should I re-install it when sans heater? c. Any other advice or tips? Many thanks, Andrew
