Just filled up my 5 speed gearbox - what fun! - and it only took about 1.2l before it was pouring out ot the side of the filler hole! Car is level! The handbook says the gearbox should hold 1.9l?
Any advice appreciated - hoping to fire her up today!
Thanks

They do still list them on their web site, but they have a min order charge and a rather heavy postage charge, so you have to spend about £15 ☹️ before you have bought anything!! Ok for the bigger stuff!

The Dremel has been one of the most useful tools i have had during my build - helped me out of a few tight spots! Not to good on soft stuff though tends to clog the heads!
Am away so sorry not to have responded earlier - when I get to my desk tomorrow I will respond to your e-mail and make arrangements.

Not sure what you would use for removal - if you cannot get a solvent to remove it!? I guess you will just have to do it with a sharp blade.
I have struggled to source big heads in small quantities but have found a place that supply in units of 25! I have bought some this week and would gladly let you have a few just to cover my costs if they will suite!
Good luck!

Was just about to submit IVA application form with Gillingham as first choice when I bumped into a friend who has just built another form of kit car. He tested at Yeading (Middlesex) which is only 40 min away from here. Says they were great! Has anyone had any experience there?
If I do not receive any positive feedback I will stick with Rattie's advice!
Thanks

I am about to try and book my IVA test which I am planning to present the car myself. We are based in Wimbledon so our nearest test centre is London-South (Mitcham).
Is it worth just going to the closest or is there any recent experience out there which might suggest a better test centre? I do not mind a bit of a drive!
Thanks in advance

Thanks Jez - I got a note from Sean at CC to say he had found one for me and was going to send it. If it does not come through I will take you up on your offer thank you.

I have a 280 diameter Momo steering wheel and need the central pad for the IVA. Any ideas where to get one? Will the one on the CC website (noted as for the French market!) work?
thanks

For what it is worth I recently bought a rapfix quick release from 7 tips and they supplied the top section of the steering column with the quick release boss welded to the top.
It fitted perfectly! Quick release is fantastic - build still in progress, so not used in anger yet!
7 tips were helpful and efficient - dealt with Simon

CC cars will tel you not to worry about this gap, that the flywheel spins so fast it eill not let anything enter the bell housing!
I am covering mine up regardless of what they say! I have some 5mm thick Aluminium plate and am going to use a high temperature adhesive to glue it in place!

Thanks for the comments . I am probably going to struggle to get samples ☹️ now as I have already had several discussions with them and have prices from them for one hundred!

The standard 125 Roadsport SV does not have a rear ARB. Checked with CC recently when I started my build a few weeks ago. So just carry on - they have also probably given you ARB brackets which you will need to use one of to mount the speed sensor - not a special bracket as noted in the manual.
Have fun!

I was looking for 8 (possibly 16 if available) of the M6 x 40 long s/s studs on 38mm bases (but variations could work!) for my cycle wings. there were a couple of other places where I wanted to use a few of the cable tyraps and they only come in a couple of sizes, so any will do!
I may just buy a 100 of each and then sell them on to cover my costs to others interested?
thanks

I am trying to buy some big head fasteners and am in contact with the distributers who will only sell in quantities of 100 which makes it a little pricey. Carbon bits have the cable tie version, but none of the others I want! Can anyone recommend somewhere which will sell them in small quantities and has a wider range than Carbon bits?
thanks

Also in the middle of my Sigma 125 build - wish CC were open over the weekend when we usually need our queries answered! ☹️
I am pretty sure the red - to be connected to the battery sometime, the black from the 'wiring loom' and the brown from the alternator all go on the RHS larger terminal on the solenoid (when you look at the starter motor from the front of the of the engine). I spoke to Sean at CC cars about this a couple of days ago. I will be with my car in about an hours time if you want to give me a call on 0777 5656 485 so I can check and make sure!
