  1. When I switch them off they just stop wherever they happen to be rather than going back to the normal resting position. Thoughts?

  4. Had a go with a heat gun and came to rapid conclusion that stuff ain’t coming off anytime soon! A rub down to a smoother finish instead I think....
  5. wondered if anyone had any experience with removing the cheap nasty black plastic on the existing dash prior to recovering the dash? Heat gun?
  6. Cut with sharp cutters slowly. Take your time LOL - good advice. What did you use for cutting please?
  7. I am toying with changing the dash in my CSR (stack equipped) to CF. Choices seem to be paying Caterham £400 plus or buy a blank and cut the holes and squares myself. Anyone done the latter (it’s a lot of cutting and opportunity to make a mistake!)? any other ideas?

  10. Going decat so need to remove the lambda (in 1 piece!). However it’s stuck solid. Any advice, guess I can’t use heat without destroying it?
  11. Is it just me or does the sizing chart seem on the small side? I’m normally a Large but according to this will end up an XXL . Have others found the same? Just want to make sure before I order the wrong thing!
  12. Winter project. Think I will strip the front end down and get the wishbones/wings stays blasted and repowder coated. Any advice or handy tips to make the job easier in terms of removal and subsequent rebuild/reset up etc please?

  14. Have a set of good tread CR500 on my CSR which are older age wise. Dry grip is fine but wet is interesting at best and scary at worst. Interested in people’s opinion as to why - I thought Cr500 was meant to be OK in the wet or is it a tyre age thing maybe?

  16. Owned two 1700 crossflows - great cars! I am very interested in what’s involved with importing to the States as it’s on my radar to maybe do that at some stage in future? Whcih state do you live in and are they all different rules re importing (I’d probably be looking at SC). What’s required re getting the car legal and registered and what’s the tax cost please? All the best with your search!
  17. David - haha. Yes I did wonder but tbh the cars never been touched at all and just generates good comments. It was living inside my locked trailer in a locked palisade fence/24/7 security camera compound with a full time security guard a lot of the time though! Now moved out of the city to Kilmacolm and there’s plenty flash motors (your Aston would fit in well!) here so the CSR will be well down the pecking order!

  22. What’s the story please? I understand that apparently there was a recall as the original dipstick that’s in the DS tower is the wrong length? Called Caterham parts yesterday and the guy didn’t have a clue about it!
