OK it seems there are three different possibilities: 1. 3/8 UNC 2. M12 with an adapter sleeve which when removed drops it to 3/8 UNC 3. Lever is threaded M12, no adaptor, so you need an M12 threaded Knob option 3 is by far the most awkward. That's what my car seems to have - annoyingly. So looks like I need to source an M12 replacement gear knob

well just finished fitting lowered floors on driver and passenger side of my SLR. Definitely comes under category of an awkward job but I actually really enjoyed it overall and a good sense of satisfaction upon completion! Pneumatic rivet gun is a really cool wee tool and very enjoyable to use

My SLR has original bilsteins fitted. The ride is choppy and harsh and spoils the experience a bit. So, been looking at what's on the market.
Protech at under £600.
Nitron street at £840.
Or Nitron NTR R1 at £1340.
Wondered what experience people had of these different shocks please. Not sure I'd be wanting to spend over £1000 on shocks, so primarily interested in the two cheaper options.
The car will be 90% road use with a few track days each year.
Thanks Stu Might be a daft question but how to connect the shielded wire to the tacho wire? i take it the inner wire needs to be connected to the tacho wire and if so what to do with the outer shielded wire?
So from memory green on tacho connected to red on ACES black on tachometer to Black earth on ACES Shielded wire is the one I'm unsure about: it doesn't have the pre fitted spade connector. So it's a bare wire with shielded inner and outer core. How to connect to the tacho feed?
