Just gently starting to look for another Caterham. Wondered if anyone had a car maybe they are not using/haven't used for a while? Don't mind if it's been off the road/needs some work/not MOTd etc as I do enjoy pottering with the cars myself. Probably most drawn to a K series, SLR, R300/400/500 but will consider anything interesting. Have a trailer and happy to potentially travel to collect. Feel free to PM me even if your just "considering selling" and we can have a chat! Edited to say that I have decided to sell my long term Lotus Exige S2 260 and would consider a sensibly priced Caterham in PX with cash either way. (If anyone has a Lotus itch to scratch).

Given their Caterham track record I contacted Dreadnaught recently about servicing my 620R. Had to endure a big story about how Caterham had dumped them and despite all their past of working on the cars they couldn't do so any more, because the factory wouldn't support them they didn't feel Confident or something along those lines. Bizarre was putting it politely. Basically, the guy didn't want to service my car or want the work! Total waste of a phone call. I can highly recommend Craig Moncreif, Craig has worked on my Exige for years, top bloke. My 620 is going there week after next for Service and MOT.

At the risk of asking the daft yet obvious question, because it's a CI car then 20% VAT is due upon it being registered with DVLA making the actual price over £50K?

Have a set of rear wing protectors in the packaging complete with the fixing kit. Symmetrical style. Brand new and unopened.

Selling a 280mm Leather Momo with crash pad. Factory Drilled for QR boss and comes with countersunk screws and nuts. Car had done a couple of thousand miles only and wheels is like new condition. New these are £251 from Caterham. Asking £190 plus postage.

I have my newly acquired 7 up on jacks giving it a jolly good clean. I'd also like to spray the rear tubes/brake pipes etc with something to offer maximum protection. Wondered what peoples recommendations were please?

My car has bare CF wings without protectors. They are currently in great shape - cars only done a couple of thousand road miles. Debating whether to drill them and fit CF protectors but unsure - what have others done please?

Interesting chat about Morgan. In a rush of blood to the head I went and test drove a new, manual box, Plus four. Didn't do it for me at any level to be honest. Couldn't touch my Exige S2 in any department - handling/pace/enjoyment. Mind you it didn't rattle as much inside!

I have a set of ZZRs that came off my 620R, only selling as gone to ZZS for road use. 185 fronts 215 rears All seem to have between 4 and 5 mm tread left albeit fronts have some excess wear on inside shoulder. They have only ever had road use. Asking £150 for all 4 with collection Glasgow or happy to bundle together if you arrange your own courier/collection.

My newly acquired cars rear exit exhaust is pretty grotty looking despite being only 2 years old and a couple of thousand miles. Pretty poor really. Wondered what people had done with theirs - I like the black look and don't want to replace it.

Surely the weight of the batteries would neutralise a whole of the Caterhams USP (in these days of fat boy cars) ie under 600KG weight?

Having had a good look at the configurator recently. I suspect many 620Rs are nearer £60K than £70K - still a big chunk of cash for what it is though. Any one have any idea how many units Caterham supply into the UK and world markets each year?
