  2. Quoting Graham Sinclair: I am starting to think I would rather find a legit solution. As becoming reliant on a testers good will/negligence isn't a long term solution. It's worked for me for 12+ years!

    Reg Plate BLAT

Surely it's actually OO08 LAT ? But still a neat plate

Quoting revilla: Does it not really matter which way the water flows through the heater matrix then? Quoting Stationary M25 Traveller: Nope ! Yes. If they are the wrong way round into the diverter valve it will be less able to completely turn the heater off. Edited by - Oily Mick on 3 Aug 2013 23:30:13
  5. Quoting Roger Ford: In case anyone's interested, the new Caterham "race" brake lights appear to consist of these LED clusters inside these Drift instrument pods. I'm considering making a pair, but only really because I think I can do it for about half what Caterham charge. Presumably without any labour cost
  6. Fuel pump, or it's fuse? Can you hear it running?
  7. Quoting BudJuggler: Ford Ecoboost engines As long as its not another flaming Toymota
  8. Quoting Jonathan Kay: Good idea. I already get that from by browser (Safari on OS X). Who else does, using what? Jonathan Google Chrome underlines in red if you misspell something, however if you go into advanced options and change the language from "English United States" to "English" it says: "Google Chrome cannot be displayed in this language. This language cannot be used for spell checking" 😔
  9. And if you haven't got one already, fit a high level brake light to help the numptys see you
  10. No. You can get 2 Ultramax for less than one powervamp. several owners run the cheaper ones with no discernable difference.

Sorry to hear you're having to sell; sounds like a lovely car. Do pawnbrokers accept 7's?
  12. Quoting pmobbs: they absolutely must deal with the issue of owners who may be unaware they have a potentially dangerous fault. This is surely in the company's best interests.....it can't be long before they read about this problem elsewhere than on Blatchat? Hope you have more luck than dedion mounts that just let go without warning here ☹️
  13. Meanwhile wait for some unsuspecting non-blatchat reading owner to have an accident? You don't need to have all the stocks and resopurces to fix the problem in order to warn customers.
  14. OK so which meeting is the best one to go to?
  15. It's not a realseven 😬
  16. Quoting EFA: So for £20.... What is the process?? Do they: Remove and Refit tyres inc proper balance? Strip using chemical (good) or blast (bad)? Powder prime, powder colour and the spray clear? Do they abide by good H&S for their employees, and dispose of toxins legally and responsibly? If so, I cannot see how it can be done for that price. AT £20/wheel, lets assume they do more than 15 wheels a day in their 3000sq/ft factory. But they don't charge VAT???? Smells a bit dodgy...... Their process is stated on their website as: Full Chemical Stripping Shot Blasting Sanding /prep/ refurb Powder Coating (any standard colour - super gloss balck and silver sparkle included) Full Lacquer coat for added protection From their FAQ: Can I bring my wheels with tyres on ? Yes we are now able to remove and refit tyres for an extra cost of just £10 per wheel , this includes rebalancing with new weights and valves.
  17. I'm not surprised, with the quantity of wheels they must deal with, that there's going to be some issues that are publicised from time to time, especially with the ease of internet comms these days. It seems that the guy in the thread you linked to Arnie got his money back in full when he contacted them (after he'd posted several times on the forum first).
  18. Quoting 7 wonders of the world: the clear lens and LED bulbs are not E marked and therefore not legal for road use, as I've said before you could land yourself in hot water if you end up being shunted in the rear - easy get out for the other insurance company! Using a multi LED rainlight type as a third brake light is a very good idea though there around a tenner with the resistor of flebay. Quoting ozzy: 7 wonders. Is that right? I thought CC were fitting these things to new cars? They are.
  19. Chris, you need to find a 'better' MOT place
  20. Why on earth would caterham parts open during the break between Christmas and New Year, or even on Saturdays? Surely no one builds or works on their cars at those times and needs parts? 😔
  21. For sale on behalf of an ex blatchatter: Standard SV exhaust with built-in Cat. Nearly new, done only about 1000 miles. £100 to a good home buyer collects. Felix Evans 01752 22 36 56 (work) e-mail: felix AT pantaenius DOT co DOT uk Located in Devon
