  1. Should be great - see you there Nigel and Barry. See we've tempted another 7 out from our little corner of Surrey (Kevin in his R500) 😬 V7 HPD
  2. I could never get happy with mine blocking the vision - problem solved when I fitted the cage and hung it from that. Not helpful if you haven't got a cage I realise! 😬 V7 HPD
  3. My DVA 1.9 with 1444's but a "standard" VHPD crank and rods made 258.5 bhp @ 8179rpm and 166.9lbft @ 6515 at Emerald last year. We've done no fiddling with the induction or exhaust yet - it's on an R500 4-1 at present and the general view is that a 4-2-1 setup will find me some more torque once I can stop driving it to do some back to back tests. Looking at what you say Darren, mine really picks up from 6k (170bhp) to 6.5k(210bhp) and then on from there 😬 V7 HPD
  4. Also had my 1900 K balanced by Vibration Free and assembled by DVA. That seems to have coincided with a trouble free race season so far with a hard used car and a heavy right foot! I'd certainly recommend it, especially for a more enthusiastically used or tuned engine. Dave Kept meaning to email you to tell you it's still going like a rocket after 4 busy race meetings and a lot of road miles this year! Cheers V7 HPD
  5. I'll be there for the Sunday 😬 V7 HPD
  6. Bu%^er 🙆🏻 Festival of Speed, don't you know and I'm on duty so can't skive 😬 V7 HPD
  7. Yes - I've done this with just some spacers to fine tune the seat tilt. Gets me nice and low in the car! V7 HPD
  8. Hi - have blatmailed you.... V7 HPD
  9. Wrong route! I bought a nice 1.6 supersport and then spent 5 years upgrading to get to what is effectively an R500 equivalent (DVA 1.9 etc ...). At one stage it went through a very effective >200 bhp 1.7 phase but with an expensive DK crank and the rest... Start with an SLR/R400 and it is all a lot less hassle! 😬 V7 HPD
  10. After 6 years of fiddling with my seat(!) I can say that at 6'2" (nearly) I feel best in the car on a lowered floor with a Tillet mounted directly on the floor, tilted appropriately. This gets me comfortably well under the rollcage and really "in" the car. Tillets or similar will certainly help but I've been v. pleased with the lowered floor. V7 HPD
  11. Don't know about eBay but had my 320d remapped by DMS with noticeable improvement in midrange grunt and no worsening of fuel ecocnomy. V7 HPD
  12. Ask Oily! 😬 On second thoughts, maybe not V7 HPD

    Car Details

    1999 ClubSport - one of only 5 I think! 1900cc K series 250 bhp 528 kg Yoko 048's at the moment V7 HPD
  14. I've always had mine set up for ACB10's but used a variety of radials ( 032's, RE720's and 048's) - some would argue this explains my lack of cornering ability but I've never had a noticeable problem. V7 HPD
  15. Dave J. I'll bring the graphs along to Longcross - I can't compete on torque at the moment (167lbft @ 6500)! I'm still on my old 4 into 1 R500 type system and the consensus seems to be that I could fatten my torque curve a bit with a 4-2-1 and some trumpet fiddling.... However after some tedious times with various problems over the last 2 years I just want to get on and drive it Big thanks to Dave (DVA), Dave (Emerald) and Giovanni (GeeSport) for sweat, toil and expertise 😬 V7 HPD Edited by - David Ward on 20 Apr 2006 22:25:50
  16. We find on our wards that the older Zimmer VX's tend to be harder on their tyres than the newer Zimmer K's...occasionally older patients have been known to understeer straight into the dayroom due to uneven wear ! Looking forward to a new consignment of Zimmer Duratecs but that may be a bit confusing as I gather the catheter bag holder is on the other side 😬 V7 HPD
  17. Vaguely reasonable offers considered V7 HPD
  18. Matt I've mailed you (hopefully!) David
  19. My attempted replies keep being bounced back... Have a look at http://users.erols.com/srweiss/index.html - it has all the injector data on it and may help. Regards David V7 HPD
  20. Still available... I see a pr. of SS cams advertised elsewhere that would go very nicely with it 😬 V7 HPD
  21. Still interested? Let me know as I haven't heard anything. V7 HPD
  22. No. 0280150 749 Off a K series VHPD engine, last used 15 months ago and were fine then for 200bhp 😬 £60 excluding carriage V7 HPD
  23. A pair of cams in 872 spec. Only used for about 3k miles. They are I believe the standard fitment for VHPD/SLR engines. £125 excluding carriage V7 HPD
