Been v.happy with my BTB silencer - kept the scrutineers happy for sprints at Goodwood etc and looked good. It is the only reliable piece of engine related equipment on my car...! V7 HPD

I have a RED place on Wednesday which has now been scuppered by work ☹️ and so would like to swap to red on Tuesday... My co-conspirator Bill would also like to do the same. Make a foam one - you can either go the cheap 2 part mix route (don't mention the canoe story...) or the more expensive, but not necessarily better, Indy seat kit form D.T. and others. I have cut my old driver side foam seat down into one that will fit beneath a rigid tonneau. V7 HPD

Wednesday it is then - better get the car back together soon and get some miles on it! I can't remember what the camping/washing facilities are there? Anyone advise? Alternatively what are the favoured hotels nearby?- I think I stayed at Kenwick Park a few years back but looking at its website I think it's been "poshed up" since then. After the engine rebuild maybe I should be camping... 😬 V7 HPD

Has anyone had a 4-2-1 collector made up to replace the standard Caterham 4-1 collector that comes as the standard R500 system? I am thinking of getting one made by Powerspeed to find some more torque with my latest(and hopefully last!) engine rebuild - any thoughts? V7 HPD

As it says - from '99 de Dion car. Fetching McLaren Orange in colour with a few chips, flies, bits of rubber, scrutineering stickers etc. Never been in contact with the tarmac and would come up nice and shiny with minimum effort. £150 - delivery arrangements extra. V7 HPD

The consensus after lager and red wine fuelled debate on Le Sept was that the 400 is probably the all round better bet for your type of use. You lose some top end power to the 500 but may gain in tractability. Big gains can be made by optimising the suspension setup and mapping. I'm referring to essentially standard cars here rather than the upgraded/race variety. We need some input from David/A10 ROX as his R400 looked like the real deal on track against the R500's - it has got the right badge on hasn't it David? 😬 V7 HPD

After yet more upgrading I can offer the following: All off '99 De Dion ClubSport and in good but not showroom condition. Offers welcome and you'll need to come and collect (or I'll be at Anglesey May 22/23...) My Pagid RS4 Blues have coped brilliantly with 2 seasons of road, track, sprint and hillclimb and I've only just had to replace the rears now. No problems with getting them up to temp. on the road and they have never been less than spot on with track use.
