  1. Dinitrol 3125 plus ACF50 twice a year. POR15 on any chips.
  2. Speak to Darren Philips 07801977854 darrenp@caterham.co.uk
  3. Tom, Morgan sold out a few years ago to an Italian company. Decision may have been influenced by Peter Morgan's fall out (was it future direction plans?) around a decade ago.
  4. #18, think you've missed the point of Caterham's. I don't think a 1200kg + seven would have them gushing.

    Boot bag

I think either soft bits or Oxted supply boot liners.
  6. Have a look at DVA's site. Jenvey's are just the start! You'd need Emerald and airbox, at least but wasted without cams, verniers and new exhaust.

    csr Tyres

ZZS are great, got from Ronnie at WheelsAround at Knockhill at a good price. Fronts are slightly bigger and may need very slight mod on front wing. One of mine was fine, the other needed the front mounting hole elongated slightly to clear. Plenty of discussion in the archives.
  8. I had a persistent slight weep at the back of the sump plate which was resolved when I had the engine out by replacing the O rings on the oil feed flow and return pipes from the bell tank to the bottom of the "sump".
  9. Tracking/alignment can be done easily and very accurately with string, if you've a flat floor and a little space round the car. Camber can also be done with an iPhone. Ride height just needs a measuring stick or coke can. All interesting procedures to master.
  10. Mine was about half that, or less. Just needed to keep an eye on it.
  11. I think the performance of the CSR 260 was "adequate " whether Superlight or not. Don't think the carbon fibre wings contributed to much except bragging rights. LSD may make a difference but could be specced anyway, and same with 5sd/6sp gearbox. Not sure if you had the fancy dampers, the make of which I can't remember. Can't recall any other differences.
  12. Thanks Blue, note my posting was the last one on the tread you linked too. I asked how many were Superlights but didn't get an answer. We're yours, I don't recall?
  13. Blue, how many miles on your car now? Do you know what happened to your previous?
  14. The problem I had with the clutch was because I was supplied with the wrong "updated" one when I replaced it when I had the engine, gearbox and diff out after my propshaft failed due to it not being greased as the grease nipples were behind a blanking plate held on with 34 rivets. Not mentioned in the service procedure.
  15. Having run one, I would suggest the main area to focus on would be the condition of the suspension bushes, components and underside (grot traps) for corrosion. On further thought, check the prop shaft if it has boxed in grease nipples, have they been greased or are they sealed for life like later models. Guess how I know!
  16. Forgot to mention that if you have electric door openers you should ensure the car/engine lift are off centre to ensure clearance when lifting.
  17. John, I seem to remember once last year, I had the engine/gearbox in and out three times, that I used a central support while manuvering the lift in and out and replaced with two stands when working on the car.
  18. Just to mention, ensuring clearance for engine hoist around front Axle stands can be tricky. Certainly on my CSR which is an SV.
  19. Don't think the rest of the car is manufactured to tighter than a 2-3mm tolerance.
  20. All the above, apart from doing anything with the fuel. Started it roughly once a month and ran it up to temperature and, if on the floor, moved it forward or back a couple of feet.
  21. I also fabricated a heat shield to protect the starter solenoid and reversed/rotated the position of the connectors on the alternator to move them 180 deg from the heat.
