  1. I have done the same as Roger and used a brother label printer for some of the wiring under the scuttle, so far so good.
  2. Guessing it's not something simple like the adjustment nuts on the clutch cable outer undoing Paul? The clutch fork on my car fractured but know that the dry sump type is a different design, so unsure if the wet type have the same issues? Either way I'm sure we can get it fixed, we can have a chat about it on Monday at the meet. I have an engine hoist if Philip would let us use his workshop again.
  3. A great looking trailer Steve, guessing it's way too big to fit in a standard garage?
  4. Quoting jchasey: Just heard that my engine rebuild is finally approaching completion so I'd be interested in details too... John 300BHP?
  5. I would be interested Martin, I tend to only be able to do one or two events a year anyway.
  6. I have training in Burgh Heath in a couple of weeks time if you don't find Paul or anyone else can help in the meantime.
  7. As per title, condition not important and one arm is fine. Finishing development of new wipers....

Well done Kenno Is this to help you beat the police off the line? Edited by - Fishy Dave on 25 Oct 2011 11:20:49
  9. I had the same problem a few weeks back (passenger side brake light not working, only 7volts) and posted on here in tech talk. The brake wiring travels from the switch at the brake pedal, down the transmission tunnel and to the drivers side rear wheel arch where it branches off at a connector all wrapped up in tape (well, mine was) and heads across to the passenger side. In my case I unwrapped the tape on the drivers side, replaced the connector and cleaned the area up and then had both working brake lights again. So, have a peek in the drivers side wheel arch and look for the wiring coming through to the back light.
  10. That's interesting Stuart, I didn't know that
  11. I have just had my BJ Minno downplated to 1200kg so i can use the Celica to tow it. Exceptional service from Brian James, sent them an e-mail with the serial number of my trailer, what I wanted it reduced to and they sent me a new plate free of charge and within a week.
  12. Quoting gundersen: Was that also with the CR500 tyres? Yes, which had made the ride height far too low, so I adjusted the ride height and corner weights to suit. Philip has another set with ZZRs too. I use 70 profile AO21Rs and am also happy with them for the road and the wet.
  13. Philip Coles from our area made the same change as you (16" HPC rims to 13", SV) and it looks great IMO and he is pleased with the change visually and handling. You will possibly want to change the front wingstays and mudguards.
  14. All sorted except for wipers and wiper arms please, can anyone help? Will send you another e-mail later Rusty Bolthole re. the washer bottle and pump.
  15. These are what we use, nice quality Gerbings
  16. You are right Peter, but the heated clothing does mean you don't need to wear as many bulky layers, and you notice the extra comfort it gives around your neck, wrists and lower back (with Tillets).
  17. Beth and I both have one, but sadly for you we are keeping them! Well worth it, ours are Gerbing jacket liners btw.
  18. I changed from a 5 to 6 speed last year and has been worth every penny, however, my car does a fair bit of track work. For road use, I would follow the advice above and get different ratios fitted to the 5 speed. On longer drives we do miss the low cruising revs and fuel economy that 5th brings.
  19. You could use small bullet connectors which should pass through the holes, or use a terminal block as you mentioned which will do the job fine. It depends how often you swap screens and how quick a change you desire. If a bullet connector won't pass through and you are not too precious about the car then simply drill a slightly larger hole and use a larger grommet?
  20. Thanks guys, you have mail. Still looking for a wiper motor please.
  21. Hello, I'm going to return to a screen for a bit for the first time in a couple of years, so am on the look out for the following please - Wiper motor assembly Washer pump and washer bottle Wiper arms with or without wipers Thanks, Dave
  22. Next in the queue for the front wings please
