There have been so many posts on here about faulty diffs, I'm considering having mine checked out before fitting it to my kit! (when it arrives ) I have in the dim and distant past adjusted the backlash on a Ford diff by measuring the backlash. I seem to remember they have a crushable washer that has to be replaced if over tightened. If it is just a case of adjusting this, I can't understand why Caterham aren't doing it before sending them out. Does anyone know what sort of problems are causing these noisy diffs?

Thanks for that :) I might go for that, at least it would be one less complication should I have to call on the warranty (for a diff maybe?).

Does this mean Caterham supply all the fluids required for the build? I'd assumed that I'd have to source oil, brake fluid etc. I've ordered a Sigma 125, but have ages to wait ☹️

I haven't actually got a seven yet, but...... When I test drove a seven with the leather seats they gave me instant back ache. For me, there was no lumbar support at all. As Petrohead suggested, I would try using something as lumbar support. I hope you manage to get round this :) For my back the composite seats seemed much better, but as I haven't sat in them for more than a few minutes I'm keeping my fingers crossed they turn out OK.
