  1. Normally the way it happen's, saw the closed note but thought i'd ask as i'd not spotted the post before.
  2. Once upon a time, everyone asked questions on the sales post so you only answered a question once, now it seems that everyone wants to send a message (is it too easy) rather than asking a question. So in confirmation the Ital PCD is 3.75" PCD (i.e. 95mm) so wont fit a 108 PCD.
  3. Dave, I've got a Live Axle FIA Roll Bar, Standard Height, In Black if your interested.
  4. Had several enquiries from owners with Dedion axles, got to say that these are for a live axle, i.e. Ital live axle .... and will not fit one of these new fangled dedion ....
  5. Agree with Klunk, normal oil temps around the 100 Deg C, upto 120 Deg C Max. Have you got an oil temp gauge (or switch between two senders for oil/water)
  6. Nigel, are you getting too much cooling or running too hot, I had cooling issues for a couple of years, it eventially came down to oil windage as i'd got a rubbish sump. If you are wet sumped and not using a decently baffled sump with windage tray then this couple be a problem.
  7. I've a set of 4 Compomotive CXR Wheels to suit an Ital PCD. The front pair are 6" (suitable for 185 to 205) The Rear pair are 7" (suitable for 205 to 215) These are in reasonable condition but do have some chips and dings. I'm looking for around £300 ONO, [attachment=925:name] [attachment=926:name] [attachment=927:name] [attachment=928:name] [attachment=929:name] [attachment=930:name] [attachment=931:name] [attachment=932:name] [attachment=933:name] [attachment=934:name] [attachment=935:name] [attachment=936:name] [attachment=937:name] [attachment=938:name] [attachment=939:name]
  8. If anyone is thinking of camping we've previously used Chichester Lakeside.
  9. Got to say that the decision to do or not do goodwood has been a hard one. But finally after months of soul searching, we've decided that both Mat & Myself will be doing Goodwood. So Mat's first championship round as a Novice will echo my own from 2010.....
  10. not a chance, happy with what i've gone. It works for me, I think like a lot of things with 7's we all have different opinions and thoughts quick often with no concrete evidence behind what we think, but then we would not be a car club without it :-)
  11. I originally changed to Evan's as I had high temperature & pressure issues on the Zetec during high RPM runs and was trying to solve them. This was eventually traced to windage issues on the sump I was using, however during the process I did find that the Evans Coolant appeared to give me more stable temperatures at a lower equilibrimium point on both water and oil. Changing the sump ultimatly cured the issue but i've stayed with Evans now it's installed. The fundemental Evans premise with corrosion is that by reducing the water content the potential for corrosion is reduced, thereby the corrosion inhibitors which are present are not exhausted. If a system is either filled with evans from new or correctly flushed prior to filling then corrosion potential is either eliminated or at least significantly reduced. I've not stripped the engine to verify this but where I used to find discoloured coolant with significant solids residue, I don't see that when emptying evans out of the system.
  12. Appraching 2 years in use, mix of sprints, hill climbs and general use. No negative issues to report. Evans coolant still clear as the day it went in. had to drain the system a couple of times for other issues as i've been playing with various bits. Just drained out into a washing up bowl, covered with clingfilm and then poor back in when ready. When I did the conversion I bought a 5litre extra just in case, and still have 5 litre...... from past experience I think I would not have put standard coolant back in and i'm probably now about at a break even point from a cost point of view...
  13. I use an aluminium handle bar style mount from amazon together with an aluminium extension piece. Solid as rock and should comply with the current regs. The only problem I had was the red extension piece I order looked decidedly pink so was rapidly painted black.
  14. Unfortunately i can't make Epynt this year as already promised elsewhere. If someone can forward me the results i'll have to do the scores after the event
  15. Not sure if anyone else has noticed this in the latest MSA Email. Permitted tyres In the 2015 MSA Yearbook, Section (L) Permitted Tyres, many of the tyres listed in List 1B are marked with an asterisk to indicate future withdrawal from the list. To clarify, this is because there are some demanding criteria being introduced for tyres to be E-marked, covering areas such as road noise, durability and wet surface performance etc. The tyre manufacturers are well aware that many of their existing “sports performance tyres” will not meet these criteria, so manufacture will cease over the next few months.
  16. I think Paul is in a ideal position with regards to Class 4, being an ex class 4 competitor. my understanding is the the class limit is the class limit but the comp secretary has some discretionary lee way to account for rolling road variances or special cases, using an example 1400 k series super sports which on paper generate 128 BHp but with significantly lower torque is still a class 1 despite being marginally over the reference limit. If you truley do have more power than the class limit than just the variance in rolling roads then in the spirit of the championship you should be in the higher class.
  17. It's normally the case over the winter season from when the regs are published to when the entries open early feb. A well earned rest / opportunity to upgrade, or even lurke in other areas of BlatChat.
  18. As the majority of other crash barriers have got arrester bags in front of them, do you think they will do that on this section.
  19. I've got a Retoford steel sump spare, but I would not recommend using it i a Caterham application. Has issues with Windage and high oil temperatures. unless you are desperate of course. I eventually invested in a Raceline Zetec sump.
  20. I would have thought that this would have gone under the "Special Offers for members" through Graham Brown, which is then featured on the main website home page under latest news...... just like the current Race Tech offer.
  21. Cheer's Simon, you would have thought that it would have said where Mandatory for the class of event of similar rather than just Mandatory. Deffinatly gives the feeling it's applicable to all.
  22. I think that this will run and run all through next season until the final infomation becomes available from the MSA.
  23. Maybe that's a discussion for the comp sec to consider & consult with competitors once the 2016 guidance has been issued by the MSA.
  24. That's fine then, thought that something might have changed
  25. Just looking through the changed sections of the blue book and in section K under Competivie Safety, Fire Extinguishers is the following new regulation. Whilst I know that some competitors already have plumbed in fire extinghuishers, does this mean that we all must carry a fire extinguisher ?
