  1. Hate to defend Alan, but the class 4 record for Harewood was set by Tom Price in 2018, @ 62.71s So this years time of 62.17s is the new record...
  2. Only 1 space remaining on Saturday, Sunday looks to be full. NSCC - Entry list | Nottingham Sports Car Club
  3. Both Annex A & Annex B are available on the LDMC Virtual noticeboard. additional documents will keep being added over the weekend so worth checking occasionally.
  4. So after Saturday we were unsure what this coming weekend was going to hold. After a few late nights and some begged, Borrowed and almost stolen parts, and of course nice red Gaffa Tape, Kate is singing again. Thanks to Nigel Fox for the upper wishbone as the old one was shot, after obtaining a new upright, trunion and some persuasion shes back together and ran her out last night successfully. So see you all at Loton Park, Matt says he's still a little sore.....
  5. A thanks to everyone who helped getting our trike onto the trailer at Barbon. Mat is a bit sore today as expected, but otherwise okay other than an ear bashing from Tracey. Looks like no significant chassis damage, just the upright, trunion, wishbones, bolts, and a couple of wings. fingers crossed the bits we need are in stock at redline and will be rebuilt in time for Loton Park.
  6. For info from the Barbon Hillclimb facebook page.... The June Hillclimb is filling up nicely but because Covid-19 regulations will still be in force in June, we may be obliged to reduce the max number of entries accepted in order to achieve adequate social distancing in the paddock. Entries will be accepted in order of date of receipt. At the moment, it is also looking likely that the June event will be a non-spectator event with the number of people accompanying each competitor restricted too. The July Barbon Hillclimb has now received 90 entries which means that the event is full. The first 70 entries have been confirmed, subsequent entries will be accepted after 22nd June in the following order: Entries from British Hillclimb Championship Contenders Entries from members of Liverpool MC &/or Kirkby Lonsdale MC Entries from other competitors in order of date of receipt. We did warn you that the events would be popular!
  7. the requirement was reinstated on the 25th November 2020, so any books printed before then will not show. https://www.motorsportuk.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/2020-11-25-regulation-changes.pdf
  8. No Spectators are allowed and support crew is strictly restricted to prenotified names.
  9. I'm assuming you are reusing the previous photo's where new ones are not provided.....
  10. Hi Andy, We're also doing the Liverpool MC Speed Championship & Longton DMC Speed Championship this year, so we will be running in the event Class 2A at both events, <=1800cc I'm assuming your running in LSC Class 4, so you would be running in Class 2B >1800cc the convention is that if your running in a none LSC class then you make sure that you let the LSC compsec know ahead of time so that you can be scored in the correct class in our championship, as well as the Liverpool SC class.
  11. You are correct that a fire extinguisher is not a mandatory requirement, and whilst section K.3 does provide some details, you need to have a look at Section K, Appendix 3, on page 208, which gives you all the information you are probably looking for as the current standard detailed in Section K,3 is only applicable to the end of 2021. As far as i'm aware In real terms there are very few Caterhams competing in the championship who have a fire extinguisher fitted, where they were not originally race cars to start off with, where it is a mandatory requirement.
  12. David, did you get sorted, I've got 2 live axle FIA bars, a standard & a tall. Regard Chris
  13. Dave, thanks for doing these, and thankyou for the photo used in the picture presented at Curborugh.
  14. A heartfelt thank you to all those who helped and contributed to today's event, especially the new Speed Team, Graham, Paul & Alan. A great weekends motorsport, topped of with todays club sprint. I would like to thank all of you who helped with the thank you gift of framed Photo and gift vouchers, it was totally unexpected but deeply touching, I hope that Graham gets as much fun and enjoyment out of being CompSec as I did in the first three years and we all can look forward to an exciting 2021 season. Regards Chris Bramall.
  15. It's not every event where we have agreed it but there are a good number as well as anything where AWMMC (Association of West Midlands Motor Clubs) is invited which we are a member of.
  16. Philip, i'm sure that Graham & Team are keeping in contact with the organizers and will let us know once a decision is made. Chris
  17. No the Curborough weekend is a 2 round weekend, Saturday with BMMC on the standard 2 lap format, and Sunday run by Lotus Seven Club on the Figure of 8 circuit.
  18. Rob, For the avoidance of doubt, Harewood, Curborough (BMMC), Wiscombe, Blyton & Anglesey are all open to Lotus 7 Club members in addition to those in the Championship. It's part of the reason why we amended the wording of the regulations a couple of years ago for the championship to base the the event scoring on Championship Contenders rather than competitors in class. Over the years we've tried to open opportunities up for club members to compete with clubs we run championship rounds with without having to be a member of another club, even on dates when we are not there as a championship round. For example this year a club member could have compete on any event run by Longton, or Barc Midlands. Regards Chris.
  19. Check out https://dvlaregistrations.dvla.gov.uk/ L7 numbers are available for £250, and C7 numbers for £399.
  20. In my opinion we are not a National or British Championship, the title National or British are reserved for those championships promoted by or for MotorSport UK. have a read at W1.1.6.1 in the Blue Book which sets out the definition. as far as i'm aware the "National" term is used for Karting, and "British" used for motorsport So no British Hillclimb Championship, or British Speed Championship events.
  21. Alan, The requirement for the On - Off sticker on the ignition switch is detailed in S10.7.1, so is a mandatory requirement, and always has been even if some scruitineers did not enforce it. 10.7.1. All vehicles must be equipped with an ignition cut-off switch having positive ‘ON/OFF’ positions clearly marked. The ignition cut-off and fuel pumps isolation system(s) must be operable by the Driver when normally seated with seat belts secured, with the exception of Standard Cars as defined in 11. where it is recommended. The Battery Masterswitch is seperate in S10.7.3. An external circuit breaker to K.8 is mandatory for all cars except open cars of periods A – E (Nomenclature and Definitions) and cars licensed for road use (when it is recommended). for us in Class 1-6 the cars are licenced for road use, so a battery master switch is not mandatory, but the ignition cut off switch Is mandatory, must be marked, and must be reachable from the seated position. Chris.
  22. Never had a cover on my fuse box, but i have run a tiewrap behind and over the top of the relays to ensure they don't fall out, as i've had this happen both on road and events. The section in the bluebook is section K.8, there is no requirement for a brow. In your photo your master switch is not in the normal location, hence why the conflict with the screen, it's normally located in the gap in the middle of the windscreen stantion,
  23. Chris, have you considered contacting Andrew Willoughby, I know he was thinking about making a return to sprinting before the lockdown happened......
