  2. Thanks Tom but looks like they sold very quickly
  3. @PROBE2 (Paul), your mailbox is full and I cannot respond to your BM. Thanks. Carl
  4. Hi folks, I'm looking to get into some K series engine upgrades over the winter. Looking for interesting bits like a set of throttle bodies, ported head and hot cams, that sort of thing to marry with a Scholar 1.9 bottom end. thanks in advance. Carl.

  6. It's a bit pricey that but it appears to be the only one available right now. Years ago I bought an allegedly rebuilt 6 speed box with only a couple of subsequent races under its belt that quickly needed some synchro's replacing by R&RT. I did the same again last year, with a similar story, for my current car but having learned a lesson took it straight to R&RT for a cautionary check over and it needed a couple of synchro's. Even then, all in, quite a bit less than this one.
  7. For sale is a pair of genuine Caterham carbon front wings. These are an older diagonal weave and 15/16". Probably 20 years old now although they have never been used on a car. I was given them many years ago with some bonded in titanium wingstays, an unfinished project. I cut those back out but one of them sustained a cut about an inch long through the top coat which was subsequently repaired with a carbon repair kit. Its still visible but otherwise they are in decent condition having only sustained the odd mark from an extended period of storage. No longer available in this larger size but would be well over 600 quid from Caterham these days! I'm looking for £250 delivered in the UK.
  8. Andrew, I'm just converting my car as you know from EU2 1.6K to EU2 1.8 VVC. I ran into the inertia switch issue as you described above and can clarify a few things here for posterity. On my 1997 EU2 1.6 K the inertia switch wiring is in the engine loom between the big grey plug and the MFRU (fuel pump relay). It changed with the introduction in 1998 of the VVC engine and is not on my 1998 VVC engine loom. Also confirmed off another 1998 car. Caterham moved the switch to the vehicle side of the big grey plug and the fuse box (fuel pump). As it stands my car may start without the switch in circuit since it's closed circuit in that yellow/green wire now and without the switch in either my vehicle or engine loom! I probably should splice a sub loom in though for safety sake and I may do it off the back of the MFRU since it's sat 4 inches away from the switch. Can anyone see any issues with that strategy?
  9. A lot of discussion about that auction in the other place suggesting its not really an SS. Just a bitsa built up from a new chassis.
  10. I'm looking for an Aluminium guard that goes around the catalyst on systems where that is a separate part. Second hand or guided to a supplier. Out of stock at Caterham for a long time. thanks
  11. I have 2 complete K series manifold and cat/silencer systems available. They are standard type with the 4-1 manifold inside the engine bay.
  12. I've got one for you Andrew off a 1.8 VVC
  13. I have a never fitted rear left hand side wing in Carbon going spare. It's a genuine Caterham wing and the current recent straight weave.
  14. It's been on eBay on and off for at least a year and the only reason it has not sold is because the repair is uncertain. It was originally on Buy it Now but these days its an auction with reserve. However, it never seems to meet reserve whatever that is. If it's cheap enough and the owner is prepared to have the car inspected by Caterham or one of it's approved accident repairers (or even Bruce at Arch - bearing in mind it won't be an Arch chassis of course) and they are prepared to rectify anything not right or knock off money accordingly I think it might be worthwhile. I guess it really depends on what actual chassis repairs were done by the owner and how good they are.
  15. James, if Nick isn’t sorted, i’m Interested in yours. Thanks.
  16. For sale is a Caterham K series to type 9 bellhousing just taken from my 16k miles K series car. It can come with the lightly used clutch (Which has loads of meat on it and was working perfectly. Car was only ever a lightly used road car is base 115bhp spec so not surprising really). I also have the clutch fork and CRB . £150 the lot. Collection from near Chester.
  17. For sale is a standard type 9 gearbox just taken out of my 16K miles base 1.6K Caterham. Has been in my car from new. No issues and shifting nice and tight. Upgrade to 6 speed means this is surplus to requirements now. It will need a front nose sleeve fitting that fits over the input shaft for the CRB to run on if fitting in a K series but I do have the equivalent alloy cover for a Duratec. I had to swap them over as my 6 speed was from a Duratec car and this is the only difference between those applications. I believe the original Type 9 part is only about £50 in any case. £300 collected from near Chester.
  18. I have a type 9 gearbox that I can offer to here first. Just removed from my K series Caterham where it has resided from new. 16,000 miles and it was shifting beautifully and felt nice and tight. Standard Caterham ratios and input shaft for K-series/Duratec. It will need the input shaft nosepiece that the CRB runs on though which cost about £50 I think. Looking for £300 as it’s such a nice box. The part worn clutch pack, clutch release fork, CRB and K series bellhousing also available. cheers Carl.
  19. Looking for a set of factory R300, R400 or R500 K series S3 exhaust primaries/headers. thanks Carl.
