  15. For sale a hood which I have had for 3 years but only used once (I cannot get in car with it on!), so switched to a half-hood. Hood is just three years old and other than one outing has been stored since.....also has zipped rear window....my car has FIA roll bar with double cross in middle.... so time to go...... offers around £130 plus PnP (South Oxfordshire area) or welcome to collect..or I'll be at Cadwell on 20th May also a set of hood sticks, 10 years old so not as new, but been off the car for last 3 years...around £20 + PnP ? here cheers Graham Edited by - gpbox on 6 May 2012 15:49:52
  16. After a frantic week of trips to Road n Race (thanks Pete !) and frequent orders to CC (clutch, oil, spigot etc etc)...car put back together today......just been out for first test drive.......no leaks, good pressures.....little adjustment to clutch needed..........other than that SORTED *wink* PS - the 'Hydraulic' removal method for the spigot worked a treat, 2 minutes, 3 taps of the hammer...job done (thanks again to Pete for the old gearbox drive shaft)...worked perfectly for this job and as a clutch alignment tool !... and thanks to Simon (Shad) for the hoist....great bit of kit, and Andy (Grenpayne) for helping extract the mota' last weekend !. and another for Road n Race.....great service Pete ! G back to happy Track day action, Cadwell in 2 weeks ....

  21. Hi all, planning to refit my engine this weekend (thanks RnR for fixing GB !!!) Questions: - Clutch cover to Flywheel bolts - do I use thread-loc ? ...what torque ? - Between gearbox and bellhousing appears to be some old sealant - does it needs any ? - How much coolant should a 1.6 K (without heater) take ? - When I refill with oil, Apollo will refill from Sump, should I overfill before starting ? - Spigot bearing...mine looks ok, but I have a new one (but no sleeve), does a 1.6K use a sleeve ?...best method of removing - does the flywheel need to come off ? thanks all ! Graham
