  1. thanks, the screen does have the elements in the glass...odd that no wires are coming out of the screen.... ? ah well, I did not intend driving it with the roof on anyway :) Graham
  2. Hi all, just getting to know my 2001 Roadsport.....fitted the windscreen retaining channels, to ease fitting Aeoro.....but suprised to find there are no wires from the windscreen for the heater element :( I guess the switch is surplus to requirements... Where should the wires protrude form (on the screen) and where should they route to get in the car ? thanks Graham
  3. Great advice guys - many thanks - I'll get to it over the weekend cheers Graham
  4. Hi all, I have decided to fit the CC Retaining channels for the Windscreen support - so when I eventually buy an Aeroscreen, swapping between teh two is much easier than double jointed fingers... a few questions......My car has the 'knee protectors' fitted, I assume I have to remove them completely by drilling out the rivets. Do I also have to remove rivets taht hold teh outerh skin to the frame ?. Looks like the Retaining channels need to slip between the skin and the frame (just by looking at picture on CC site)..is that the case ? Finally how do the Retaining channels fix to the frame ?, looks like a couple fo bolt holes..are the holes already in the frame ? thanks Graham

  16. Hi all, I have a new hood for my 7. but no hood bag.....can anyone give me a few pointers on the best way to fold/roll the hood ?. I suspect the windows can crack if folded. Also anyone have any suggestions for alternative ways of carrying the hood (or do I need to buy a hood bag ?) thanks all, Graham
  17. Cheers Mick, I'll leave as is Graham
  18. thanks, do I need to 'crack' the 'big nut' before the Apollo drain plug can be released ? (ie like a locking nut)....or is the 'big nut' static and fixed to the tank ? tx Graham
  19. Hi all, as part of my 'big' oil change (and sump bolt fix), I thought I'd drain the Apollo too. But I've found the drain plug to be very difficult to loosen. Should the hex key simply unscrew ?....the large nut is not a locking nut right ?. Do I really need to drain the last of the oil in the Apollo, or can I leave as is ? finally, I dont know what sort of oil was in it last time, but I am going to use fully Synthetic, does it matter if the old oil (left in the Apollo) is not full Synch ? thanks all Graham

    Sump help

Hi all, my first post and first problem ☹️ The Sump bolt on my K-series Supersport has decided to lose its thread....can someone please advise: 1. The size of the helicoil insert I would need to use ? 2. An ideal alternative replacement sump bolt (donor car ?) to fit new helicoil ? 3. Where I can buy said insert/tool ? (Swindon area ideally) 4. I assume the sump needs to come off - is that a simple job..ie drops straight out 5. Torque for sump bolts when going back in 6. Can I buy the sump gasket from CC ? thanks all Graham
