Hi all, if I change my rear wheels to 13x7 (from the 13x6 already fitted)....which size CR500's would go on the 13x7 ? thanks Graham
  4. Hi all, two questions: 1. If (with the engine off) I disconnect the upper pipe from/to the Apollo tank (of the main oil pipes) will oil come out, does it cause any issues? (in order to feed a new alternator belt over the apollo). 2. Which nut should I disconnet the one one the pipe end of the connector or the larger nut near the apollo ? thanks all Graham
  5. ah...yes good plan ! thanks G
  6. Hi all, just checking out the procedure for the Cambelt replacement. Looks like the Apollo needs to be disconnected too (as pipes run inside Alternator belt). Should I disconnet the Apollo pipes using the nut on the end of the pipes or the larger nut nearest the Apollo tank ? thanks all Graham

    Carbon weave

Hi all, I recently changed my front 'cycles' to CC carbon. The direciton of weave is front to back, ie inline with car. I am now looking to chage rear wings to carbon also. Do I need to stick with CC parts to get weave in same direction ?.....I think I have seen diagonal weave use on some parts....or am I dreaming ? Quesiton is; can I 'mix and match' any carbon, or will parts from diffeent suppliers look odd if I do ? cheers all, Graham

  18. Hi all, I intend on putting stronger springs in the font of my seven (2001 Roadsport/wide track). At the moment I have Bilstein adjustables but they are wound up quite a long way to give my reasonable 2.25 inch clearance under the sump....I think my weight (and my sons) may have something to do with it ....combined ~25 stone Quesiton is, how do I specify new springs ?, and where can I get them from ? oh, and where can I buy the suspension winder tool ? (borrowed one at mo' but handy to have) thanks all Graham C7 GFP the F is for forget it ;-)
  19. Thanks Dave...so you have a pipe running from the spur on the exhaust side of the engine, around the read of the head and back to the thermostat ?. Is this a special pipe from CC ?, or just a straight bit, bent around ?. thanks Graham C7 GFP the F is for forget it
  20. Hi all, a few Qs relating to removing the heater from my 2001 1600 K-Series Supersport. Having read a bunch of the previous Bklatchats on this, maybe the talk of plumbers BNF etc core plugs is relating to a different setup... I would like to remove the heater and associated hoses. At the moment the heater is supplied on the passenger side of the engine via a 'spur' from a steep pipe running along the exhaust side of the engine. On the driver side of the engine the other heater hose appears to connect to a plastic housing where the large bottom radiator hose also connects (rear of water pump ?). Question is can I blank off these two supply points - ie remove the hoses and put a short piece of pipe with a blank on both of the current supply points ?. Habe seen the other discussions about connecting both these point but as these are only spurs from other water connecitons - does not seem a big deal to blank off Finally do CC sell the heater blanking plate - or do I have to make it myself ? thanks all Graham PS: - off on hols tomorrow, so will not be able to reply - but thanks in advance for any recommendations. cheers Graham
