  1. Hi, I have a heated s3 screen with a small stone chip in the mot fail area. To give you an idea of overall condition the car had done about six thousand miles before the screen was replaced. Maybe of some interest to you? Ralph
  2. As cheap as chips 😀 I’ll definitely get some ordered.
  3. These look very similar to the ones I have. I need to order some pins? Just incase I damage any.
  4. The guide has materialised at the perfect time for me. I have just received a set of de- pinning tools from the internet and I’m about to fit carbon indicator pods at the sharp end. Then when this has been done attempt something similar with my Caterham led rear lights. The idea is to fit rubber grommets to seal the holes in the rear wings where the cable passes through.
  5. This is brilliant and so concise utilising photos it really must be included as a technical guide.
  6. Very nice, a much tidier soloution.
  7. Thank you James, much appreciate the help, copper washers on order. Ralph
  8. Geoff, by any chance do you know the dimensions of the copper sealing washer used on the base of the oil tank? Having previously shied away from the method discussed and used a pump to empty the oil tank it is one that I would like to try. Ralph
  9. With reference to the friction cups along with the other product I’ve recently fitted I can thoroughly recommend them. They really do make the SPA ball and socket much more controllable when fixing the position that you want the mirror to be in.
  10. Would these be suitable for the weight of a duratec engined car, or are they set up for something lighter?
  11. Reporting back regarding the effectiveness of Renovo. To be honest I didn’t use the warm air trick, I simply followed the instructions provided on the bottle of Renovo which was wash the surface with warm water, dry, then use small amounts of Renovo in small circles, allow to dry then polish it off. After doing each screen on both sides twice I can honestly say the cloudiness has gone, that’s as far as I can tell but it doesn’t seem to remove deeper scratches with the first few goes although that’s not to say that with more perseverance it wouldn’t produce more fruitful results? Hope this helps to throw a little light on the subject 😃
  12. Thanks, that would explain why I can’t find the mounting brackets on their site. 👍
  13. Looks good, I’ve just tried to find the head light brackets on car builder’s web site, but no luck. Have you a part number or key word I may have missed? tia, Ralph
  14. That’s interesting regarding the warm air, how does that work and how do I apply the warm air, hairdryer?
  15. I have just ordered some Renovo as my near side screen with the low sun this time of year is far to cloudy for my liking. I shall report back on my findings after a good polish up.
  16. Thank you Mark, that pretty much echoes what others have highlighted regarding the tight routing of that hose, and as you say they both seem to work well it’s just the PGM version is perhaps a little more refined.
  17. Evening, Hopefully I will be attending the Handcross tail-ender.Should I not make it I may drop in for a chat as I’m only down the road from you.
  18. At this stage I don’t have a 620 engine bay as I’m only a prospective upgrade customer, but thanks for the heads up 👍
  19. Asking the knowledgeable here for any advice regarding the well needed and well discussed cooling update mod. Any experience or first hand knowledge would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  20. Just my thoughts reading this as I had a similar noise from my car a few years ago and on the advise of another club member checked the security off the fuel tank by trying to lift it of the rear most chassis rails where it sits.Sure enough there was some movement which was easily fixed by tightening the nut on the securing rods either side of the fuel tank and I’ve had no issues since.May be of some help?
  21. Hi, Can anyone help? Im after a Spa centre mirror to fit to my carbon Aero that already has the three holes pre drilled. Ralph
  22. Thank you for the help and as always it's much appreciated. I have purchased the Bosch lambda from Opie oils using the clubs discount for my duratec and the part number is 0-258-003-229. The price was £62.44 Ralph
  23. Thanks for the reply. I've had a look and searched this and the companies selling the Bosch Lambda all seem to be non UK sellers.
  24. Hi, I need a replacement Lambda for my car. Please can someone point me in the right direction with a part number and supplier as I can't for the life of me find one on the Caterham site for Duratec engined cars? Ralph
