  1. Hi Ian, just checking for alternatives. 05 to present sounds more promising. Thanks Doug Any more gooduns?
  2. Whilst looking at older posts, I have seen that there have been varied degrees of success with these rads. Just wondered if there were a good number from the bulk buy still going strong, or how well anyone has been getting on with any that have been bought more recently. Cheers all
  3. Spotted about half 4 today
  4. Spotted by other half whilst shopping today. She seemed to take great delight, in telling me other sevens are out and about whilst I'm stuck under this Ford KA trying to mend the suspension Happy Blatting
  5. Hi Paul , If thats the pub at the hump back bridge, then I think that will have been me on an after work calm down blat. Were you driving or at the pub? Thanks for the spotted
  6. Had this problem a couple of times now. First time CC rectified it so I had trouble knowing what to do when it started happening again. Its a long shot, but last time I found that when the engine gets hot in warm weather that the throttle cable starts to sag as it appears from the pedal box over the primaries. Twisting the plastic fitting that pushes into pedal box so that the mouldings point up-down rather than side-side seems to support the cable better and stops the cable catching Hope you sort it metric grrrrr
  7. Just caught a climpse as we were heading back to a site near there at around midday. Turned sunny again about then. metric grrrrr
  8. Yesterday evening at around 7. I had just got fuel and caught up to being 3 cars back from you. metric grrrrr
  9. Sorry, I should have said the colour was dark blue I must have missed you both. I will try harder at spotting in the furure 😬
  10. You were heading south at about 17:00. I was in the black astra heading the other way Lovely evening for it
  11. Hi Ian. The car has been fine.................until last night, when the dreaded problem came back Might be a step closer to solving the problem though as I found a thread last night about certain cars having a vibration at a set speed causing the diff to making a growling noise. Still a bit disconcerting as the nose pitches towards the ground for a split second The cure won't be cheap I'm sure Hi Paul. I was going to turn around to, but didn't think that I would catch you, and not sure which way you were heading at the crossroads. I think you are about my first spotted whilst out in the seven for about 6000 miles
  12. Passed you yesterday evening just before Flimwell at the turning for Kilndown. I was heading north
  13. Hi R400 NOT , I think that might have been me. You've spotted me a couple of times before, and I was even looking up at the balconies this time to try and work out where I get spotted from . Had just been on a dot to dot blat of coastal towns and ended up heading towards Lewes for some reason (all that way for a tunnel 😬). I will keep my eye out for you in future if I'm back that way. I bet its lovely down there today. Thanks again for the spotted, as it makes for a perfect blat.
  14. Spotted by other half on her way to work going round the North Farm industrial estate roundabout at around 9:30 She's getting good at these now - they nearly are all Caterhams now
  15. Hi Steve , Great to here from you. I had forgotten about the Baywatch run, but hopefully I will see you on a blat somewhere before then. I will sort a post out on what to do (or not ) when I have got them working. Hi Milt Thanks for your reply Glad to here that I'm on to the correct Tacho cable, but did you have to invert the signal because the data logger needed it like that, or is the signal to the tacho inverted? Many thanks again Ben
  16. In my Haynes Manual it says Tolerance allowed before resetting required 1.2mm toe-in + / - 1.6mm (0°12' toe in + / - 0°15') Adjustment setting (if required) 1.2mm toe-in + / - 0.9mm (0°12 toe-in + / - to 0°09') Edit:Just to check though, this is from the manual for 51 to 05 reg cars (not sure what mk of focus that is) Edited by - sigmasmith on 1 Feb 2009 10:26:41 Edited by - sigmasmith on 1 Feb 2009 11:05:46
  17. Hi All , I have treated myself to a set of shiftlights and have been reading through all the previous posts about connecting them and it seems that the cable that I'm after is white with a black trace for the tacho input. Just wanted to check though that this is still the case for the sigma loom, and also wondered if this loom has the extra cable for the stack dash that would make life easier 😬 Cheers Ben
  18. Hi Martin & Jo , Really sorry that we haven't got your own manual back to you yet. We were getting a suitable box to get it to you in one piece. Had a quick look to see if the Sigma cars are any different, and it looks the same for the ARB but only 34Nm for the Front Upper Wishbone Bolt. Are you doing a reverse kit build? 😬 Will get to the post office this week. Ben & Nat metric grrrrr
  19. Hi Adam We were in the Black (grubby) Ford Focus and gave you a toot as we waved. It was a bit nippy, but it was great to see you out and braving that sort of weather. We had just been to Mount Edgcumbe for lunch 😬, and were just struggling to warm up again ourselves in a tintop 😳 Ben & Natalie metric grrrrr
  20. on Mt Ephraim in T Wells at around 3pm metric grrrrr
  21. Hi StEVEN Courtesy car ....I think I could have made use of that if offered. Looks like I might start using my Cranbrook route to Ashford more often as the cars to spot are far more interesting I think its a bit quicker as well. metric grrrrr
  22. .....with dark stripes and CATERHAM graphics on the bonnet I think heading towards Hawkhurst from Cranbrook. Bit chilly round the ears I bet 😳 metric grrrrr
  23. Hi Martin , Hope all is running well with yours. My seven is fine I think as hopefully this rad is a goodun The winch is still the only way to go at the moment (and is an added security feature 😬) as its a 3 man job otherwise. Hopefully see you out and about if the weather cheers up Ben metric grrrrr
  24. Hi Ian Well when I mean summer, I mean none of this twitching around when I put my foot down on this orrible salt 😔 (and the 2 days cleaning) Lying low at the moment as the neighbours were subjected to a bit of engine noise last weekend as I was checking to see if my new rad has sprung a leak. Theres abit of coolant at the seal, but seems to have stopped now. Roll on Spring metric grrrrr
  25. Hi StEVEN , Thats amazing handywork, to have done all that! Not sure mine is ready for work everyday yet, but hopefully come the Summer. 😬 metric grrrrr
