  3. Brian Snelson - a former Seven owner and club member has a spare Air Temperature Sensor for a Sigma engined Seven. Caterham charge £29.40 but he'd be happy to accept any reasonable offer for it. If you're interested, let me know and I'll private message his contact details.
  4. No Merc, but I was getting away from someone driving a bit like that when I saw you Lets hope so for the weekend

  7. Hi Chris, I think there are a few pics of this on flickr if you search under "exfordy". Exfordy built his 7 just before me, and uploaded some great photos that helped me along.
  8. Sorry for the overly enthusiastic wave I always wonder if I've been spotted by a sevener or being warned of something up the road when waved at like that I heard what I thought might be a 7 (I'm normally wrong ), I was just pleased to have made it down the garden and over the gate bare-footed without injury in time to spot you Were you on your way to the Spotted Dog?
  9. I waved from a Black Astra Cabriolet Lovely day for it 😬
  10. Was mowing the lawn and heard what I hoped was a 7, and just saw you disappearing passed the Diesel Garage.
  11. I thought it was a good fit for a 7. Propbably waiting to get another
  12. A long shot I know, but was on a silver mercedes and wondered if it was waiting to go onto a 7
  13. Waved to you from silver Suzuki Jimny Seeing you in your 7 helped make up my mind to head home and get my 7 out 😬
  14. Hi Phil Through the magic of google streets, I reckon the roundabout at Worthing was the one
  15. I waved to you from a black Astra cabrio Saw you and wished that I had risked bringing the 7
  16. Hi Richy , Yep definately recessed, and in the right position above the pump on mine, just not deep enough ❗ I think I might make up a wooden copy of the floor to hack about to see how much tank lowering and floor cutting is required. Will have a go at getting the floor out without too many scratches 😳 Can't believe it actually comes out, but other threads suggest that it can. Cheers all
  17. .........although, I wonder if that will move the tank lower by enough. Sounds like a step in the right direction though.
  18. Hi Ivan Whilst looking on the CC website I saw the Honeycomb Spacer and wondered if that could be it, and even asked if I needed one when picking the parts up . Just had another look at my car and the tank is hard up against the chassis rails at the back with virtually no gap between the tank and the chassis tube underneath. Does the spacer fit up high on the chassis rails or at the bottom. It looks like it has holes in it for fixing to something. Bloody annoying to loose the pump for the sake of a bit of ali. Does sound like you may have sorted it Ivan
  19. Hi Martin , We were not trying to lift it, just using the Shogun Pinin as a battery pack at Handcross - everyone should have one 😬 I was determined to get there last year. I'm puzzled as well. Its not under the ply, its under the honeycomb floor. I'm sure your car is fine, its just mine is a bit special Thats why I was wondering if I have a spacer missing or something as it really would need a big hole cutting. I've never really tightened the screws for the floor down that much so as not to crush the honeycomb, bit of luck really - let alone carry luggage 😬 I was hoping to get to Penshurst yesterday to have a look at some other sigmas. I'm sure it will be obvious when I have a snoop at another one
  20. Right, so I've gone mad and spent the money on a new pump and fitted it. I'm trying to put the cost out of my mind and pretending it was free. Thing is the boot floor has obviously been wrong from the beginning as it rocks on top of the ring that holds the pump and also sits on the fuel outlet, so am now wondering which bit (or bits) are in the wrong place. My tank is mounted on the diagonals and up against the chassis rail uprights at the rear of the car, protected by pieces of foam. The boot floor has a number of recesses with one being in the area of the fuel pump outlet, but not deep or large enough to hold all of it. The floor sits on the edge of the top hat rail joining the wooden floor to the honeycomb and spans the gap to the chassis ledge at the rear of the car. The threaded boss that the fuel pump sits in is recessed into the tank more towards the front of the car than the back, leaving it standing proud towards the back, and preventing the floor from being seated properly. I was wondering if the tank can be lowered, or should I just raise the floor and hack a bit more of a gap out of it, or am I even missing a special spacer or something? Any help greatly appreciated. Ben
  21. Just when I had saved the pennies to look at setting up the suspension ☹️
  22. It goes inside the tank and incorporates the fuel gauge float and sender, so £330 😳 or £369 from my local ford dealer.
  23. First sunny day here for a while so hopefully everyone else is out enjoying the dry conditions. I was heading out, but my plans have been scuppered..............does anyone know if the sigma 150 fuel pump is a bog standard ford part or if CC have modified it in any way? Pump and gauge working fine (well, gauge was working as it normally does if you know what I mean ). Its just the fuel pipe fitting has snapped off due to the pump being in the wrong orientation and crushed by the boot floor creating a petrol water feature 😳. Has anyone had to replace one yet?
