  1. I was behind you in silver Ford KA. Flashed my lights and waved whilst trying to put my club hat on. Great to see someone out in their seven on an otherwise boring journey to work. metric grrrrr
  2. Hi R400 NOT, I think that was me on the way home from the factory Hopefully it was dry by then and I had dried out from my first proper soaking in the seven 😳.
  3. Alarm clock is set, and beer fridge is locked. I just hope that we can push the 7 to the main road without waking the neighbours I think a rolling start might be called for too Hopefully see you all there if the weather is good. metric grrrrr
  4. Hi Paul, I would have loved to join you all for a blat, but have to head out tonight for dinner with some friends and with my willpower being what it is I don't think that I will be able to to resist a few drinks Please let me know when you are all heading out across Kent again. Hope you have a good time metric grrrrr
  5. Hi Paul , That was a shame, I was just on my way back from Camber and Rye and was just thinking of stopping at the Oak & Ivy (but thought that I would be in trouble enough already at disappearing off on my own for so long ). Thanks for the spotted, and I will be looking out for more Red 7s in this neck of the woods metric grrrrr
  6. Thats a shame we missed you. Didn't think of looking up as the forehead was getting a bit pink by then . We are from Flimwell so not too far away. Hope R400 NOT is back in action soon Hi ChedSenior . Can't believe we were spotted twice in the same day. Hope you had a good day out as well . Shame about today's weather though, so glad we made it out when we did. See you all soon. metric grrrrr
  7. Hi R400 NOT . Think that was us. Did we miss you? We have been looking for sevens all day, to the point that my other half was ready to wave at any cars with remotely bug eyed headlights . Just got the car safely back in the shed, but we are both feeling sunburnt (and one of my shoes has melted a bit), but great day in the sun anyway. Thank for spotting us . Makes a great end to the day. metric grrrrr
  8. Hi Casey . That was us out for our first evening pub blat and discovered a pub at Bodiam (I'd forgotten what its like to sit drinking coke all night ). Did you flash your lights at us? I was going to angle the lights down a bit tonight as we got flashed a couple of times and was wondering if we had dazzled them. If you did, then thats one less thing to do We will keep an eye out for you on that blat route in future then . Thanks for the spotted metric grrrrr
  9. Thats not too bad. My girlfriend actually hit the test centre wall at the end of her test in Tunbridge Wells She did pass at the second attempt though, but she still wonders why I get nervous when the subject of driving the 7 comes up metric grrrrr
  10. Hi SM25T , Cheers for that, I will give them a try. Didn't find the homebase guy in the end. All I can think is that at least it wasn't the paint (its only a matter of time), or even worse my head - I've been wearing sunglasses ever since . I was beginning to wonder if all 7 screens are a bit peppered with chips and its all part of sevening and I should just leave it, but I could get used to these trips out to find a repairman in this weather . Thanks again metric grrrrr
  11. Thats me, thats me I've been spotted. Thanks for the spotted, and thanks for the thumbs up - it made my day. Wasn't concentrating when you passed as looking for the windscreen repair man at homebase. Can you believe it 200 miles on the clock and a huge stone chip already. Never mind, it was a good excuse to drive round and round in the 7 in my lunch break I will keep an eye out for you in the future. metric grrrrr
  12. Hi StEVEN . I think I'm going to have to work my way up to a proper blat gently as the other half is still embarrassed at most of the traffic passing us as she followed me in her car at 60 mph, well it seemed fast enough to me Thanks Martin , it does feel good to be an owner/driver at last instead of just an owner, although it did involve chasing the postman down at 7 in the morning for the reg documents to give me time to get the plates made and then to CC. Hi Steve , can't wait to get to a meet at last, but might have to wait a while as I have got to get the neighbours used to the seven gently, so strictly daytime use at the moment. It's also a 3 man operation to get it back in the shed, but I have a bid going on ebay on some trailer ramps so fingers crossed I will be able to drive her in soon. Perhaps we will use tintop power instead. Hope to see you all again very soon from behind the wheel metric grrrrr
  13. Wow, my first spotted on the very first day. Just got back after coming home the long long way round. Great to meet you SM25T. Sorry I was not my more usual chatty self, but I can't lie - I was terrified of my first drive in it after all this time waiting . Well, the seven is back snug in its shed after its first outing in rain (never thought I would let it get wet), but enjoying listening to that engine too much to care 🥰. Hopefully see you out on the road soon. PS I dont think the neighbours are amused, but they will get used to it metric grrrrr
  14. Lovely day for it. Other half is amazed at the power of the blatchat spotted, in that her spotted has been seen the very same day. Good to hear that there are still some 7s out and about in this neck of the woods. Just a shame that I haven't seen one in ages Natalie says hello, and she is now on a mission to spot more of you metric grrrrr
  15. Spotted by other half, so only details are colour Heading north on A21, towards Tunbridge Wells just before Blueboys roundabout at about 4 this afternoon. Was it you Brian? Shes very proud of her first spotted. 😬 metric grrrrr Edited by - sigmasmith on 8 Feb 2008 20:41:11
  16. *wavey*Turning off just in front of me as been dragged away from building mine to parents in Tonbridge. Great to hear metric grrrrr
  17. ooops. Got the location right at least. Gearbox filled, Diff filled, just waiting for a new oil cooler thingy and then I can fill with coolant and oil - then 😬 😬 😬 See you again soon I'm off to the opticians in preparation for my next spotted metric grrrrr
  18. Yellow or Orange (I am colourblind) Heading North on the A21 at the Kippings Cross roundabout at about 5.15pm. metric grrrrr
  19. Wow, what a coincidence The 7 looked great and much shinier than last time I saw it . Hope CC have sorted everything. The build for me was going great yesterday with the engine going in on the first attempt - then whilst tightening the engine mounts to the block found one bolt had been done up way too tight and had to be losened off then the next one had a completely stripped thread (I have no idea how to sort that problem out ). Just out of interest, where abouts did your rad go? Mine has no room to get the lower pipe on without putting strain on the spigot. Hope all is running well now, and hope to see you on the road soon, but please keep me informed as to what might go wrong on mine next, at least then I can get spares in before it happens metric grrrrr
  20. Heading from Dartford on M25 clockwise at about half four. **07SGY I think. Looked exactly like the one I saw at Bexhill - was that you Steve? metric grrrrr
