  1. Throw away full doors (useless flappy things ) - go Brooklands and half doors - problem solved - simples Rog
  2. thx all - forgot to mention that I'm fitting the boot cover which also has quite a thick metal strengthening bar, so will need a small diameter, long nosed rivet.....will investigate further

  4. Is there a special type of self tapper with the right sort of countersunk head to fit the above? I often find that if I use a high street self tapper with the right diameter, it can still interfere with the 'folded' button end Rog

  9. Likewise Mike, never got the fascination with the NC500. East is distinctly underwhelming roads wise. Scenery still wonderful and wild. West is best :) enjoy the trip Rog
  10. Having been there on many occasions Mike I agree it is a part of the world everyone should visit at least once. At that time of the year, you may encounter the start of the infamous 'wee beastie' season - (google Scottish midges). It would pay to go armed with plenty of Avon Skin So Soft. Exact midge season start is difficult to predict accurately, a lot depends on the weather earlier in spring - but best be prepared Happy to share some of the great routes up there if needed I'd love to come along, but I'm already apporaching my quota of 'car weekends' :) Rog

  18. Spotted this afternoon driving through Barton under Needwood yellow with black nose band and centre stripe. I was out walking the dog, by the time I'd juggled the lead and the poo bag it was too late to wave!
  19. Guessing that will be Messers Chan, Needham and Heseltine returning from Germany.
