Thanks again all, the surface is the (predominantly) lightly painted steel interior of the car. Not sure at this stage if the bodyshell will be dipped, but once the rebuild does begin, fresh adhesive will be applied to secure new sound deadening material / carpets etc cheers Rog

Demand for our Classic racing packages are proving to be very popular - Ian at Fasttracktours (our Package partner) has already received a record number of bookings! The first decision you need to make is whether you would like to join our extended Group Tour or meet us at Spa. The 5 night tour will start in Calais on the Wednesday (10th May). After breaking your journey from the UK and absorbing the time difference while you are asleep you will have all of Thursday to enjoy the rural roads in France and Belgium. If you choose the 4 night option you can either meet us for lunch on Thursday or later at the hotel which is in a quiet Ardennes village. Friday will be a terrific day of driving in Luxembourg on some of our favourite roads - the Alps are great but Luxembourg is perfect proof you do not need to travel that to have an amazing time in your car. You will receive detailed maps and our bespoke GPS files for your satnav so you will not have to worry about getting lost or missing out on the best roads. Good evening all, Having waited a few weeks to understand any likely changes announced by the French government to its Covid19 related travel restrictions, it would now appear that said restrictions have now been lifted...... Which means we can now hopefully look forward to planning excursions further afield. I have therefore taken this opportunity to outline below the highlights of the Club package to Le Mans Classic 2022:- ** Includes ENTRANCE TICKETS AND PADDOCK PASSES. ** Hotel choice is located 20MINS from the circuit, thereby making travelling to and from the circuit easy. ** Dedicated parking spaces in the Clubs Enclosure if needed - INCLUDED in the price. Hello again from the Tours Team, Before we scale back our activities for the festive break, we have one more mini-Tour for you to consider. Not to be confused with the longstanding and most excellent Fish and Chip Run in May 2022, we have teamed up with Fasttracktours to offer Club Members a relaxing Tour of both north and south Wales. The driving will kick off with a meeting at, and tour of the Morgan factory. I know of us are often asked "is that a Morgan mate?", which always raises the eyebrows, but as we are all petrol-heads at heart, we thought that a chance to have a nosey round the famous Malvern factory, would be a great way to begin the weekend. From the team that brought you the North Scotland Tour, we are pleased to now offer an exclusive Club package to attend the Le Mans Classic 2022. It is worth noting that with Classic Le Mans having been cancelled / postponed in recent years, bookings for next year's event are likely to fly off the shelves like the proverbial hotcakes. We would also point out that the format of this event does not officially constitute a Tour, in as much as the packages we are promoting in conjunction with our partner Fasttracktours, focus on the accommodation and trackside options. Club members will therefore be able to arrange their own travel / routes to Le Mans. Hopefully 2021 has allowed many of us to get back out in our cars and enjoy exploring both familiar and less well known blatting routes. Following on from the Tours survey we conducted earlier this year, we have been working with one our partners FasttrackTours, to build a range of Tours to a number of well known driving destinations. Ian Longden, the Director of FasttrackTours has extensive experience of providing tours forother UK Car Clubs and comes highly recommended from others within our Club. Being the owner of a (ahem) TVR, Ian built his business on the back of extensive practical experience across a large and varied car club. Whilst we will all remain guided by any existing, or forthcoming government guidelines with regards the dreaded Covid virus, we felt it important to show willing and start building on the opening up of restrictions we all enjoyed this year. As you can imagine, many comments in the survey mentioned North Scotland and the NC500. We are therefore delighted to offer an exclusive Tour of the North of Scotland in September of next year. Whilst the NC500 has attracted much press coverage, some of the roads it covers are not necessarily up there in the class of 'best driving roads', so we have instead decided to focus on the best roads the region has to offer. The scenery will of course be spectacular. The roads in the far north are not conducive to very large group Tours and all successful trips to the area require touring groups to adopt a unique etiquette - with this in mind we are offering a maximum of 15 rooms / car spaces, so you will need to book early to secure your place.
