  1. It is that time of year Paul, conflicts abound. Hopefully see you on the road sometime.
  2. I think Doug raises a good point about using autoroute. There I no shame in getting a few miles cracked between the good bits rather than flog through villages, speed restrictions and cameras. My advice is look at what you want to do where and then map study the hell out of the routes between them. Choice of navigation software and devices makes life a lot easier, annoyingly standard software needs to be tweeted and finessed to help it find those memorable routes. This is easier done with a cup of tea and a lap top rather than sweltering with your feet in a pizza oven by the side of the road. I have to say I think you are missing out on Spain and I would circle back to get more Spain especially the North Coast and the Picos de Europa in favour of northern France. Regardless you will ha e a great time, sunscreen, hat, decent sun glasses aggressively long lunches in the heat of the day. All in a 7 what's not to like?
  3. Fleeting glimpse from the Morpeth Arms looking very cool in the afternoon sun. May have been a 310.
  4. We had a soggy drive down there, the day you saw us but otherwise excellent weekend, some great roads down there.
  5. That will have been me on my way back from a surprisingly soggy Plymouth and taking the scenic route. Spotted twice in 7 days now.
  6. That would have been me, drive up on Wednesday and it honked down, hence the grubber than usual car. Had a few great days of decent weather though and glorious roads.
  7. Having said it wasn't the immobiliser and thinking about it some more it would seem that it may well have been. A bit of careful tag waggling appears to have restored reliability. Thanks all.
  8. I am pretty sure it is not the immobiliser but happy to be told otherwise and yes the overly damp conditions do appear to have provoked this misbehaviour.
  9. Looking for some guidance from the wise amongst you. Isolator switch on, ignition on, fuel pump activates lights go on and nothing on push button or ignition key start, no click, nothing. I have loosened, cleaned and WD40ed the terminals on the starter motor and it seems to work but I am concerned it may fail again whilst away for a weekend. Two days ago it pissed down and the car was thoroughly soaked on a 3 hour drive, it has a new Lithium and when it does turn over it does so quickly and fires and starts immediately. Car is a 260CSR 2007. Should I be worried about starter motor degradation or should I be looking elsewhere?
  10. Both cars spotted alongside McDonald's on the Holes Bay Road in Poole, Dorset. Glorious day to be out in company.
  11. A brief glimpse on Alder Hills in Bournemouth, had the light not changed I would have been behind you after a couple of cars in my blue 7.
  12. On my way out for a dawn raid this morning and saw you parked up on the road between the hospital and Poundbury, looked like you had been there overnight. Must have been out blatting as you had gone on my return.
  13. Glorious fay for a blat, brief glimpse and a wave from the blue 7 heading the other way into Poole.
