Hello Ashley I run with a Banner battery, the car is always hooked up to a CTEK conditioner, and the car always starts on the button. I check the electro-lite level on a monthly basis and do not suffer water loss. My classic MG sits outside under a cover (oh for a double garage) and this is hooked up to a Carcoon conditioner and again the car starts on the button. If your running with a CTEK then unless it is faulty, or your battery is down a few cells then all should be well. As mentioned, top up the battery, give it a full charge with a std battery charger, and then hook up to tye CTEK.

My recent acquisition will be due an MOT in the new year. The car has always ran with Aero Screens, will I need to re fit the windscreen and wipers for the MOT Test? Cheers

Thanks to all you Guys Your explanation Revila was on the ball, I see now, why unlike my classic car installation the dual pump option on injection sytems is more complex. Mabye its fix when necessary. Cheers Gordon

I have had a look through the archives regarding fuel pumps fitted to the K series and the need to drain, or remove the tank to replace. Has any member fitted and additional pump(Facet) and filter unit to run via a change over switch for use in the event of a pump failure. If so details would be appreciated Cheers Gordon

Thanks guys You have given me food for thought, while I always like my cars to be available all year, I wouldn't necessary use it in heavy rain or snow, to me its about feeling comfortable driving the car should I get caught out. I have checked out all your thoughts and may end up sticking on the rain masters as they are cheap and may offer an alternative to road/race tyre which offer good wet performance. Cheers Gordon

I know tyres seem to have been done to death, my question is simple I currently run YOKO A048R Medium compound (185/60/R14) As a new guy on the block do I need to change these at this time of the year, I do intend to keep the car on the road all year. Will my current tyres work in winter and the rain if caught out in the odd downpour. I need something in the 14" size. Cheers Gordon
