Michael Peterson
It appears that I over filled the tank (in hopes of a looooong blat) and "Red" began dripping fule around the bottom of the tank...... Where is she leaking from? Whats the fix? No officer, the wheel is on the RIGHT side. Red Super Sprint 6 speed clam shells
Pete
dunno the answer to that one, but as its a nice day, try lowering the fuel level by having a blat! 😬 😬 😬
Michael Peterson
Aviation gasoline is too expensive to waste. I siphoned off a gallon and she stopped dripping. I suppose the mess on the garage floor will evaporate 🙆🏻 And now its started raining
Pelico
If it leaked out of the right hand side just behind the wheel. It is likely you just squirted fuel out of the breather pipe of the fuel tank. If it does not come out of there doing a big fill it will on the first left hand bend. 😬 DTs etc can sell you a one way breather valve for about £10. I must get round to fitting one myself sometime. normalbloke.29
It sounds like the crappy cork gasket between the sender unit and the tank.It runs over the front of the tank, and drips out off the bottom.Jack it up and have a look for the telltale stains from beneath. If it is it's a bootfloor ut job, ours went last weekend, andit's only a 40p gasket, but the newer one is a rubber affair. This is spooky as i have literally just washed my hands having finished doing ours. Good luck
Ferrino
Yeah, my old steel tank was wheeping fuel from the cork sender gasket. I ordered a rubber gasket when I installed my ali tank and looks fine so far.

rj
I have even seen the leak from the rubber gasket and from the welding on the side of the tank 🙆🏻 /r
Michael Peterson
We can't get four star on this side of the pond. 100 octane low lead av gas is as close as it gets!
