I'm going to ask Santa for one of these. Should I go for a De Walt one which attaches to the battery I already have with my drill (cost c.£130) or a stand alone one e.g. Ring (cost C.£60)?

Thoughts/experiences appreciated.

I use a Ryobi pump with my drill/impact driver batteries. Works really well so would imagine the DeWalt equivalent would be just as good. I use a separate digital pressure gauge, and just over inflate by a PSI or two and then drop it down to where I want them for the conditions/intentions... Either way I'd go for one with a clamp on fitting not a screw on, easier to get accurate pressures and since our cars are so sensitive to pressures...

My Milwaukee is the best battery-operated tyre pump I've ever had. I've had it for 2 years, inflated tyres on every car in our family, my Caterhams, track days, my VW Crafter Camper Van, Toyota Land Cruiser etc and it never misses a beat.

Even used it to inflate my Ifor Williams trailer tyres (they require 90 psi each) and it did them just fine.
