Limitless
I've searched for this but can't find a working link. It's for my BMW LSD diff. Does anyone have link to the ebay ones?

22daz
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334349342875?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=CP20FA8fRx-&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=d2aUsVGpTAK&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY I fitted this to my 2018 420R, you will also need a 1" socket or spanner as it's USA spec. Not 26mm as advertised. 22daz

Area Representative Geoff Brown Posted July 11, 2023 Area Representative Share Posted July 11, 2023 When fitting the Gold Plug be aware that it requires a bit more 'grunt' when tightening due to the aluminium washer. Otherwise weeping may occur.Or substitute for a copper ring ?
7Up
whats the general thought on how often to change diff oil given the weakness of them?
Amos91
I take it you mean the Titan LSD rather than the diff?Seeing as Titan recommend a rebuild every 10,000 road miles, I seriously doubt changing it a lot will bring longevity.
ScottR400D
If you have carbon plates ir won't make much difference but might give you an indication of how worn it is.Sintered plates won't wear so much but what does come off the plates might do more damage. Changing the oil isn't going to make the LSD last much longer in either case.
Limitless
I think I must be very lucky so far. I've covered over 15,000 spirited miles in mine from new, I change the oil every year since 2018 and everything is fine.
ScottR400D
#12 you've possibly already got a sintered plate diff. It will last OK though at 15k I'd be regularly checking the preload, if not planning a full service. You presumably are OK with the noise or have one of the rare not too noisy ones. Limitless
#13 I've got use to the clonking and grinding noises but I'm always checking the preload. last time I check was 3 months ago and got a reading of 39.

22daz
I removed it myself and drove it down to Steve at SPC in Redditch. He's happy for you to post them if you prefer. It's not a difficult job to do if you're reasonably competent. 22daz
