fatal3rror
Relatively new to Caterham world, I have a 1600 Ford Crossflow powered Super Sprint. Last week, I have noticed oil near one of the spark plugs - any idea what this could be? The car drives well and does not show any symptoms of a major issue as such. SM25T
Rocker cover Cork gasket. Too tight on screws and it gets crushed flat. Not tight enough and it leaks.

elie boone
A bit of grease on both sides on a new gasket usually works fine.
John Vine
A bit of grease on both sides on a new gasket usually works fine. That's what I did on my old Anglia, and that has a similar rocker cover, I think.JV
Member Jonathan Kay Posted July 1, 2017 Member Share Posted July 1, 2017 I'd: Check oil level and pressure. Take a photograph. Clean it up. Then if it recurs as above.Jonathan
